Alquerque de Doze board game with optional AI Alquerque implements a two-player deterministic board game. Alquerque is a board game demonstrator with computer AI using Monte-Carlo Tree Search (MCTS) with UCB (Upper Confidence Bounds) applied to trees (UCT in short). Alquerque is a medieval Spanish board game closely influenced and originated from the Middle East also known there as the game called Quirkat, Qirkat, or El-Quirkat. It claims to be the predecessor of modern Draughts, Checkers or Dames/Damas. Detailed rules can be found included in the application. Rule variants and alternative display options can be set in the options menu. Note: Default setting is that two human players are sharing the device as a game board playing against each other. If you plan to play against the computer player (AI) then you first have to set up the options accordingly. All selections from the options menu will be applied on next move or new game.
