| Causes: - Low light/photoperiod. - Excess phosphates and / or silicates. - Unstable aquariums (newly assembled) - Alcaline water favors this algae. Solution: - Frequent water changes. - Increasing light intensity and photoperiod (10-14 hours). - Some snails help (planorbis). - Mechanical removal of algae. |
