This free star chart application enables you to easily identify stars and constellations on the sky by detecting your location and showing you the currently visible astronomical objects. By tapping a star, besides basic data (name, magnitude, distance) listed, you can directly access the Wikipedia article about the star when available. Outlines and boundaries of the 88 standard constellations are given according to the International Astronomical Union, while coordinates, magnitude and distance data of the more than 15000 stars shown on this interactive star map are from the Hipparcos catalog.
