بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَوْفُوا۟ بِالْعُقُودِ ۚ أُحِلَّتْ لَكُم بَهِيمَةُ الْأَنْعَٰمِ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ غَيْرَ مُحِلِّى الصَّيْدِ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ مَا يُرِيدُ[1]

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo awfoo bialAAuqoodi ohillat lakum baheematu alanAAami illa ma yutla AAalaykum ghayra muhillee alssaydi waantum hurumun inna Allaha yahkumu ma yureedu

O les croyants! Remplissez fidèlement vos engagements. Vous est permise la bête du cheptel, sauf ce qui sera énoncé [comme étant interdit]. Ne vous permettez point la chasse alors que vous êtes en état d'ihrâm. Allah en vérité, décide ce qu'Il veut.

O ye who believe! fulfil (all) obligations. Lawful unto you (for food) are all four-footed animals, with the exceptions named: But animals of the chase are forbidden while ye are in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb: for Allah doth command according to His will and plan.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُحِلُّوا۟ شَعَٰٓئِرَ اللَّهِ وَلَا الشَّهْرَ الْحَرَامَ وَلَا الْهَدْىَ وَلَا الْقَلَٰٓئِدَ وَلَآ ءَآمِّينَ الْبَيْتَ الْحَرَامَ يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرِضْوَٰنًا ۚ وَإِذَا حَلَلْتُمْ فَاصْطَادُوا۟ ۚ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوْمٍ أَن صَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ أَن تَعْتَدُوا۟ ۘ وَتَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَٰنِ ۚ وَاتَّقُوا۟ اللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ[2]

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tuhilloo shaAAaira Allahi wala alshshahra alharama wala alhadya wala alqalaida wala ammeena albayta alharama yabtaghoona fadlan min rabbihim waridwanan waitha halaltum faistadoo wala yajrimannakum shanaanu qawmin an saddookum AAani almasjidi alharami an taAAtadoo wataAAawanoo AAala albirri waalttaqwa wala taAAawanoo AAala alithmi waalAAudwani waittaqoo Allaha inna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi

O les croyants! Ne profanez ni les rites du pèlerinage (dans les endroits sacrés) d'Allah, ni le mois sacré, ni les animaux de sacrifice, ni les guirlandes, ni ceux qui se dirigent vers la Maison sacrée cherchant de leur Seigneur grâce et agrément. Une fois désacralisés, vous êtes libres de chasser. Et ne laissez pas la haine pour un peuple qui vous a obstrué la route vers la Mosquée sacrée vous inciter à transgresser. Entraidez-vous dans l'accomplissement des bonnes œuvres et de la piété et ne vous entraidez pas dans le péché et la transgression. Et craignez Allah, car Allah est, certes, dur en punition!

O ye who believe! Violate not the sanctity of the symbols of Allah, nor of the sacred month, nor of the animals brought for sacrifice, nor the garlands that mark out such animals, nor the people resorting to the sacred house, seeking of the bounty and good pleasure of their Lord. But when ye are clear of the sacred precincts and of pilgrim garb, ye may hunt and let not the hatred of some people in (once) shutting you out of the Sacred Mosque lead you to transgression (and hostility on your part). Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour: fear Allah: for Allah is strict in punishment.

حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ الْخِنزِيرِ وَمَآ أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ بِهِۦ وَالْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَالْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَالْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَالنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَآ أَكَلَ السَّبُعُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْ وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى النُّصُبِ وَأَن تَسْتَقْسِمُوا۟ بِالْأَزْلَٰمِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ فِسْقٌ ۗ الْيَوْمَ يَئِسَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن دِينِكُمْ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَوْنِ ۚ الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِى وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَٰمَ دِينًا ۚ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ فِى مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍ لِّإِثْمٍ ۙ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ[3]

Hurrimat AAalaykumu almaytatu waalddamu walahmu alkhinzeeri wama ohilla lighayri Allahi bihi waalmunkhaniqatu waalmawqoothatu waalmutaraddiyatu waalnnateehatu wama akala alssabuAAu illa ma thakkaytum wama thubiha AAala alnnusubi waan tastaqsimoo bialazlami thalikum fisqun alyawma yaisa allatheena kafaroo min deenikum fala takhshawhum waikhshawni alyawma akmaltu lakum deenakum waatmamtu AAalaykum niAAmatee waradeetu lakumu alislama deenan famani idturra fee makhmasatin ghayra mutajanifin liithmin fainna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun

Vous sont interdits la bête trouvée morte, le sang, la chair de porc, ce sur quoi on a invoqué un autre nom que celui d'Allah, la bête étouffée, la bête assommée ou morte d'une chute ou morte d'un coup de corne, et celle qu'une bête féroce a dévorée - sauf celle que vous égorgez avant qu'elle ne soit morte -. (Vous sont interdits aussi la bête) qu'on a immolée sur les pierres dressées, ainsi que de procéder au partage par tirage au sort au moyen de flèches. Car cela est perversité. Aujourd'hui, les mécréants désespèrent (de vous détourner) de votre religion: ne les craignez donc pas et craignez-Moi. Aujourd'hui, J'ai parachevé pour vous votre religion, et accompli sur vous Mon bienfait. Et J'agrée l'Islam comme religion pour vous. Si quelqu'un est contraint par la faim, sans inclination vers le péché... alors, Allah est Pardonneur et Miséricordieux.

Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah; that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ مَاذَآ أُحِلَّ لَهُمْ ۖ قُلْ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَٰتُ ۙ وَمَا عَلَّمْتُم مِّنَ الْجَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِينَ تُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّ مِمَّا عَلَّمَكُمُ اللَّهُ ۖ فَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّآ أَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَاذْكُرُوا۟ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا۟ اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ[4]

Yasaloonaka matha ohilla lahum qul ohilla lakumu alttayyibatu wama AAallamtum mina aljawarihi mukallibeena tuAAallimoonahunna mimma AAallamakumu Allahu fakuloo mimma amsakna AAalaykum waothkuroo isma Allahi AAalayhi waittaqoo Allaha inna Allaha sareeAAu alhisabi

Ils t'interrogent sur ce qui leur est permis. Dis: «Vous sont permises les bonnes nourritures, ainsi que ce que capturent les carnassiers que vous avez dressés, en leur apprenant ce qu'Allah vous a appris. Mangez donc de ce qu'elles capturent pour vous et prononcez dessus le nom d'Allah. Et craignez Allah. Car Allah est, certes, prompt dans les comptes.

They ask thee what is lawful to them (as food). Say: lawful unto you are (all) things good and pure: and what ye have taught your trained hunting animals (to catch) in the manner directed to you by Allah: eat what they catch for you, but pronounce the name of Allah over it: and fear Allah; for Allah is swift in taking account.

الْيَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَٰتُ ۖ وَطَعَامُ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ الْكِتَٰبَ حِلٌّ لَّكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّ لَّهُمْ ۖ وَالْمُحْصَنَٰتُ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ وَالْمُحْصَنَٰتُ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ الْكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ إِذَآ ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ مُحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَٰفِحِينَ وَلَا مُتَّخِذِىٓ أَخْدَانٍ ۗ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِالْإِيمَٰنِ فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُۥ وَهُوَ فِى الْءَاخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَٰسِرِينَ[5]

Alyawma ohilla lakumu alttayyibatu wataAAamu allatheena ootoo alkitaba hillun lakum wataAAamukum hillun lahum waalmuhsanatu mina almuminati waalmuhsanatu mina allatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablikum itha ataytumoohunna ojoorahunna muhsineena ghayra musafiheena wala muttakhithee akhdanin waman yakfur bialeemani faqad habita AAamaluhu wahuwa fee alakhirati mina alkhasireena

«Vous sont permises, aujourd'hui, les bonnes nourritures. Vous est permise la nourriture des gens du Livre, et votre propre nourriture leur est permise. (Vous sont permises) les femmes vertueuses d'entre les croyantes, et les femmes vertueuses d'entre les gens qui ont reçu le Livre avant vous, si vous leur donnez leur mahr avec contrat de mariage, non en débauchés ni en preneurs d'amantes. Et quiconque abjure la foi, alors vaine devient son action, et il sera dans l'au-delà, du nombre des perdants

This day are (all) things good and pure made lawful unto you. The food of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them. (Lawful unto you in marriage) are (not only) chaste women who are believers, but chaste women among the People of the Book, revealed before your time,- when ye give them their due dowers, and desire chastity, not lewdness, nor secret intrigues if any one rejects faith, fruitless is his work, and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good).

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَوٰةِ فَاغْسِلُوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ وَامْسَحُوا۟ بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ ۚ وَإِن كُنتُمْ جُنُبًا فَاطَّهَّرُوا۟ ۚ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرْضَىٰٓ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَآءَ أَحَدٌ مِّنكُم مِّنَ الْغَآئِطِ أَوْ لَٰمَسْتُمُ النِّسَآءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا۟ مَآءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا۟ صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَامْسَحُوا۟ بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُم مِّنْهُ ۚ مَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيَجْعَلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْ حَرَجٍ وَلَٰكِن يُرِيدُ لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ وَلِيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُۥ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ[6]

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha qumtum ila alssalati faighsiloo wujoohakum waaydiyakum ila almarafiqi waimsahoo biruoosikum waarjulakum ila alkaAAbayni wain kuntum junuban faittahharoo wain kuntum marda aw AAala safarin aw jaa ahadun minkum mina alghaiti aw lamastumu alnnisaa falam tajidoo maan fatayammamoo saAAeedan tayyiban faimsahoo biwujoohikum waaydeekum minhu ma yureedu Allahu liyajAAala AAalaykum min harajin walakin yureedu liyutahhirakum waliyutimma niAAmatahu AAalaykum laAAallakum tashkuroona

O les croyants! Lorsque vous vous levez pour la Salât, lavez vos visages et vos mains jusqu'aux coudes; passez les mains mouillées sur vos têtes; et lavez-vous les pieds jusqu'aux chevilles. Et si vous êtes pollués «junub», alors purifiez-vous (par un bain); mais si vous êtes malades, ou en voyage, ou si l'un de vous revient du lieu où il a fait ses besoins ou si vous avez touché aux femmes et que vous ne trouviez pas d'eau, alors recourez à la terre pure, passez-en sur vos visages et vos mains. Allah ne veut pas vous imposer quelque gêne, mais Il veut vous purifier et parfaire sur vous Son bienfait. Peut-être serez-vous reconnaissants.

O ye who believe! when ye prepare for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands (and arms) to the elbows; Rub your heads (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles. If ye are in a state of ceremonial impurity, bathe your whole body. But if ye are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands, Allah doth not wish to place you in a difficulty, but to make you clean, and to complete his favour to you, that ye may be grateful.

وَاذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمِيثَٰقَهُ الَّذِى وَاثَقَكُم بِهِۦٓ إِذْ قُلْتُمْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ وَاتَّقُوا۟ اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ[7]

Waothkuroo niAAmata Allahi AAalaykum wameethaqahu allathee wathaqakum bihi ith qultum samiAAna waataAAna waittaqoo Allaha inna Allaha AAaleemun bithati alssudoori

Et rappelez-vous le bienfait d'Allah sur vous, ainsi que l'alliance qu'Il a conclue avec vous, quand vous avez dit: «Nous avons entendu et nous avons obéi». Et craignez Allah. Car Allah connaît parfaitement le contenu des cœurs.

And call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you, and His covenant, which He ratified with you, when ye said: "We hear and we obey": And fear Allah, for Allah knoweth well the secrets of your hearts.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُونُوا۟ قَوَّٰمِينَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَآءَ بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوْمٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا۟ ۚ اعْدِلُوا۟ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا۟ اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ[8]

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo koonoo qawwameena lillahi shuhadaa bialqisti wala yajrimannakum shanaanu qawmin AAala alla taAAdiloo iAAdiloo huwa aqrabu lilttaqwa waittaqoo Allaha inna Allaha khabeerun bima taAAmaloona

O les croyants! Soyez stricts (dans vos devoirs) envers Allah et (soyez) des témoins équitables. Et que la haine pour un peuple ne vous incite pas à être injustes. Pratiquez l'équité: cela est plus proche de la piété. Et craignez Allah. Car Allah est certes Parfaitement Connaisseur de ce que vous faites.

O ye who believe! stand out firmly for Allah, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just: that is next to piety: and fear Allah. For Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.

وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ الصَّٰلِحَٰتِ ۙ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ[9]

WaAAada Allahu allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lahum maghfiratun waajrun AAatheemun

Allah a promis à ceux qui croient et font de bonnes œuvres qu'il y aura pour eux un pardon et une énorme récompense.

To those who believe and do deeds of righteousness hath Allah promised forgiveness and a great reward.

وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ الْجَحِيمِ[10]

Waallatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo biayatina olaika ashabu aljaheemi

Quant à ceux qui ne croient pas et traitent de mensonge Nos preuves, ceux-là sont des gens de l'Enfer.

Those who reject faith and deny our signs will be companions of Hell-fire.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ اذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ هَمَّ قَوْمٌ أَن يَبْسُطُوٓا۟ إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَكَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا۟ اللَّهَ ۚ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ[11]

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo othkuroo niAAmata Allahi AAalaykum ith hamma qawmun an yabsutoo ilaykum aydiyahum fakaffa aydiyahum AAankum waittaqoo Allaha waAAala Allahi falyatawakkali almuminoona

O les croyants! Rappelez-vous le bienfait d'Allah à votre égard, le jour où un groupe d'ennemis s'apprêtait à porter la main sur vous (en vue de vous attaquer) et qu'Il repoussa leur tentative. Et craignez Allah. C'est en Allah que les croyants doivent mettre leur confiance.

O ye who believe! Call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you when certain men formed the design to stretch out their hands against you, but (Allah) held back their hands from you: so fear Allah. And on Allah let believers put (all) their trust.

۞ وَلَقَدْ أَخَذَ اللَّهُ مِيثَٰقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَبَعَثْنَا مِنْهُمُ اثْنَىْ عَشَرَ نَقِيبًا ۖ وَقَالَ اللَّهُ إِنِّى مَعَكُمْ ۖ لَئِنْ أَقَمْتُمُ الصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَيْتُمُ الزَّكَوٰةَ وَءَامَنتُم بِرُسُلِى وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا لَّأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنكُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَٰرُ ۚ فَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ مِنكُمْ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ السَّبِيلِ[12]

Walaqad akhatha Allahu meethaqa banee israeela wabaAAathna minhumu ithnay AAashara naqeeban waqala Allahu innee maAAakum lain aqamtumu alssalata waataytumu alzzakata waamantum birusulee waAAazzartumoohum waaqradtumu Allaha qardan hasanan laokaffiranna AAankum sayyiatikum walaodkhilannakum jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu faman kafara baAAda thalika minkum faqad dalla sawaa alssabeeli

Et Allah certes prit l'engagement des enfants d'Israël. Nous nommâmes douze chefs d'entre eux. Et Allah dit: «Je suis avec vous, pourvu que vous accomplissiez la Salât, acquittiez la Zakât, croyiez en Mes messagers, les aidiez et fassiez à Allah un bon prêt. Alors, certes, j'effacerai vos méfaits, et vous ferai entrer aux Jardins sous lesquels coulent les ruisseaux. Et quiconque parmi vous, après cela, mécroit, s'égare certes du droit chemin»!

Allah did aforetime take a covenant from the Children of Israel, and we appointed twelve captains among them. And Allah said: "I am with you: if ye (but) establish regular prayers, practise regular charity, believe in my messengers, honour and assist them, and loan to Allah a beautiful loan, verily I will wipe out from you your evils, and admit you to gardens with rivers flowing beneath; but if any of you, after this, resisteth faith, he hath truly wandered from the path or rectitude."

فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَٰقَهُمْ لَعَنَّٰهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا قُلُوبَهُمْ قَٰسِيَةً ۖ يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِۦ ۙ وَنَسُوا۟ حَظًّا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ وَلَا تَزَالُ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَىٰ خَآئِنَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِّنْهُمْ ۖ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاصْفَحْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ[13]

Fabima naqdihim meethaqahum laAAannahum wajaAAalna quloobahum qasiyatan yuharrifoona alkalima AAan mawadiAAihi wanasoo haththan mimma thukkiroo bihi wala tazalu tattaliAAu AAala khainatin minhum illa qaleelan minhum faoAAfu AAanhum waisfah inna Allaha yuhibbu almuhsineena

Et puis, à cause de leur violation de l'engagement, Nous les avons maudits et endurci leurs cœurs: ils détournent les paroles de leur sens et oublient une partie de ce qui leur a été rappelé. Tu ne cesseras de découvrir leur trahison, sauf d'un petit nombre d'entre eux. Pardonne-leur donc et oublie [leurs fautes]. Car Allah aime, certes, les bienfaisants.

But because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard; they change the words from their (right) places and forget a good part of the message that was sent them, nor wilt thou cease to find them- barring a few - ever bent on (new) deceits: but forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds): for Allah loveth those who are kind.

وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا نَصَٰرَىٰٓ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَٰقَهُمْ فَنَسُوا۟ حَظًّا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَأَغْرَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَآءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَٰمَةِ ۚ وَسَوْفَ يُنَبِّئُهُمُ اللَّهُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْنَعُونَ[14]

Wamina allatheena qaloo inna nasara akhathna meethaqahum fanasoo haththan mimma thukkiroo bihi faaghrayna baynahumu alAAadawata waalbaghdaa ila yawmi alqiyamati wasawfa yunabbiohumu Allahu bima kanoo yasnaAAoona

Et de ceux qui disent: «Nous sommes chrétiens», Nous avons pris leur engagement. Mais ils ont oublié une partie de ce qui leur a été rappelé. Nous avons donc suscité entre eux l'inimitié et la haine jusqu'au Jour de la Résurrection. Et Allah les informera de ce qu'ils faisaient.

From those, too, who call themselves Christians, We did take a covenant, but they forgot a good part of the message that was sent them: so we estranged them, with enmity and hatred between the one and the other, to the day of judgment. And soon will Allah show them what it is they have done.

يَٰٓأَهْلَ الْكِتَٰبِ قَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيرًا مِّمَّا كُنتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ الْكِتَٰبِ وَيَعْفُوا۟ عَن كَثِيرٍ ۚ قَدْ جَآءَكُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ نُورٌ وَكِتَٰبٌ مُّبِينٌ[15]

Ya ahla alkitabi qad jaakum rasooluna yubayyinu lakum katheeran mimma kuntum tukhfoona mina alkitabi wayaAAfoo AAan katheerin qad jaakum mina Allahi noorun wakitabun mubeenun

O gens du Livre! Notre Messager (Muhammad) vous est certes venu, vous exposant beaucoup de ce que vous cachiez du Livre, et passant sur bien d'autres choses! Une lumière et un Livre explicite vous sont certes venus d'Allah!

O people of the Book! There hath come to you our Messenger, revealing to you much that ye used to hide in the Book, and passing over much (that is now unnecessary): There hath come to you from Allah a (new) light and a perspicuous Book, -

يَهْدِى بِهِ اللَّهُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ رِضْوَٰنَهُۥ سُبُلَ السَّلَٰمِ وَيُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ الظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى النُّورِ بِإِذْنِهِۦ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ[16]

Yahdee bihi Allahu mani ittabaAAa ridwanahu subula alssalami wayukhrijuhum mina alththulumati ila alnnoori biithnihi wayahdeehim ila siratin mustaqeemin

Par ceci (le Coran), Allah guide aux chemins du salut ceux qui cherchent Son agrément. Et Il les fait sortir des ténèbres à la lumière par Sa grâce. Et Il les guide vers un chemin droit.

Wherewith Allah guideth all who seek His good pleasure to ways of peace and safety, and leadeth them out of darkness, by His will, unto the light,- guideth them to a path that is straight.

لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۚ قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا إِنْ أَرَادَ أَن يُهْلِكَ الْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُۥ وَمَن فِى الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا ۗ وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۚ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ[17]

Laqad kafara allatheena qaloo inna Allaha huwa almaseehu ibnu maryama qul faman yamliku mina Allahi shayan in arada an yuhlika almaseeha ibna maryama waommahu waman fee alardi jameeAAan walillahi mulku alssamawati waalardi wama baynahuma yakhluqu ma yashao waAllahu AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

Certes sont mécréants ceux qui disent: «Allah, c'est le Messie, fils de Marie!» - Dis: «Qui donc détient quelque chose d'Allah (pour L'empêcher), s'Il voulait faire périr le Messie, fils de Marie, ainsi que sa mère et tous ceux qui sont sur la terre?... A Allah seul appartient la royauté des cieux et de la terre et de ce qui se trouve entre les deux». Il crée ce qu'Il veut. Et Allah est Omnipotent.

In blasphemy indeed are those that say that Allah is Christ the son of Mary. Say: "Who then hath the least power against Allah, if His will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all every - one that is on the earth? For to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. He createth what He pleaseth. For Allah hath power over all things."

وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَٰرَىٰ نَحْنُ أَبْنَٰٓؤُا۟ اللَّهِ وَأَحِبَّٰٓؤُهُۥ ۚ قُلْ فَلِمَ يُعَذِّبُكُم بِذُنُوبِكُم ۖ بَلْ أَنتُم بَشَرٌ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَ ۚ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ[18]

Waqalati alyahoodu waalnnasara nahnu abnao Allahi waahibbaohu qul falima yuAAaththibukum bithunoobikum bal antum basharun mimman khalaqa yaghfiru liman yashao wayuAAaththibu man yashao walillahi mulku alssamawati waalardi wama baynahuma wailayhi almaseeru

Les Juifs et les Chrétiens ont dit: «Nous sommes les fils d'Allah et Ses préférés.» Dis: «Pourquoi donc vous châtie-t-Il pour vos péchés?» En fait, vous êtes des êtres humains d'entre ceux qu'Il a créés. Il pardonne à qui Il veut et Il châtie qui Il veut. Et à Allah seul appartient la royauté des cieux et de la terre et de ce qui se trouve entre les deux. Et c'est vers Lui que sera la destination finale.

(Both) the Jews and the Christians say: "We are sons of Allah, and his beloved." Say: "Why then doth He punish you for your sins? Nay, ye are but men,- of the men he hath created: He forgiveth whom He pleaseth, and He punisheth whom He pleaseth: and to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between: and unto Him is the final goal (of all)"

يَٰٓأَهْلَ الْكِتَٰبِ قَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ عَلَىٰ فَتْرَةٍ مِّنَ الرُّسُلِ أَن تَقُولُوا۟ مَا جَآءَنَا مِنۢ بَشِيرٍ وَلَا نَذِيرٍ ۖ فَقَدْ جَآءَكُم بَشِيرٌ وَنَذِيرٌ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ[19]

Ya ahla alkitabi qad jaakum rasooluna yubayyinu lakum AAala fatratin mina alrrusuli an taqooloo ma jaana min basheerin wala natheerin faqad jaakum basheerun wanatheerun waAllahu AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

O gens du Livre! Notre Messager (Muhammad) est venu pour vous éclairer après une interruption des messagers afin que vous ne disiez pas: «Il ne nous est venu ni annonciateur ni avertisseur». Voilà, certes, que vous est venu un annonciateur et un avertisseur. Et Allah est Omnipotent.

O People of the Book! Now hath come unto you, making (things) clear unto you, Our Messenger, after the break in (the series of) our messengers, lest ye should say: "There came unto us no bringer of glad tidings and no warner (from evil)": But now hath come unto you a bringer of glad tidings and a warner (from evil). And Allah hath power over all things.

وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِۦ يَٰقَوْمِ اذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جَعَلَ فِيكُمْ أَنۢبِيَآءَ وَجَعَلَكُم مُّلُوكًا وَءَاتَىٰكُم مَّا لَمْ يُؤْتِ أَحَدًا مِّنَ الْعَٰلَمِينَ[20]

Waith qala moosa liqawmihi ya qawmi othkuroo niAAmata Allahi AAalaykum ith jaAAala feekum anbiyaa wajaAAalakum mulookan waatakum ma lam yuti ahadan mina alAAalameena

(Souvenez-vous) Lorsque Moïse dit à son peuple: «O, mon peuple! Rappelez-vous le bienfait d'Allah sur vous, lorsqu'Il a désigné parmi vous des prophètes. Et Il a fait de vous des rois. Et Il vous a donné ce qu'Il n'avait donné à nul autre aux mondes.

Remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you, when He produced prophets among you, made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any other among the peoples.

يَٰقَوْمِ ادْخُلُوا۟ الْأَرْضَ الْمُقَدَّسَةَ الَّتِى كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَرْتَدُّوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَدْبَارِكُمْ فَتَنقَلِبُوا۟ خَٰسِرِينَ[21]

Ya qawmi odkhuloo alarda almuqaddasata allatee kataba Allahu lakum wala tartaddoo AAala adbarikum fatanqaliboo khasireena

O mon peuple! Entrez dans la terre sainte qu'Allah vous a prescrite. Et ne revenez point sur vos pas [en refusant de combattre] car vous retourneriez perdants.

"O my people! Enter the holy land which Allah hath assigned unto you, and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin."

قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّ فِيهَا قَوْمًا جَبَّارِينَ وَإِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَا حَتَّىٰ يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا فَإِن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّا دَٰخِلُونَ[22]

Qaloo ya moosa inna feeha qawman jabbareena wainna lan nadkhulaha hatta yakhrujoo minha fain yakhrujoo minha fainna dakhiloona

Ils dirent: «O Moïse, il y a là un peuple de géants. Jamais nous n'y entrerons jusqu'à ce qu'ils en sortent. S'ils en sortent, alors nous y entrerons».

They said: "O Moses! In this land are a people of exceeding strength: Never shall we enter it until they leave it: if (once) they leave, then shall we enter."

قَالَ رَجُلَانِ مِنَ الَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمَا ادْخُلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمُ الْبَابَ فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُمُوهُ فَإِنَّكُمْ غَٰلِبُونَ ۚ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَتَوَكَّلُوٓا۟ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ[23]

Qala rajulani mina allatheena yakhafoona anAAama Allahu AAalayhima odkhuloo AAalayhimu albaba faitha dakhaltumoohu fainnakum ghaliboona waAAala Allahi fatawakkaloo in kuntum mumineena

Deux hommes d'entre ceux qui craignaient Allah et qui étaient comblés par Lui de bienfaits dirent: «Entrez chez eux par la porte; puis quand vous y serez entrés, vous serez sans doute les dominants. Et c'est en Allah qu'il faut avoir confiance, si vous êtes croyants».

(But) among (their) Allah-fearing men were two on whom Allah had bestowed His grace: They said: "Assault them at the (proper) Gate: when once ye are in, victory will be yours; But on Allah put your trust if ye have faith."

قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَآ أَبَدًا مَّا دَامُوا۟ فِيهَا ۖ فَاذْهَبْ أَنتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَٰتِلَآ إِنَّا هَٰهُنَا قَٰعِدُونَ[24]

Qaloo ya moosa inna lan nadkhulaha abadan ma damoo feeha faithhab anta warabbuka faqatila inna hahuna qaAAidoona

Ils dirent: «Moïse! Nous n'y entrerons jamais, aussi longtemps qu'ils y seront. Va donc, toi et ton Seigneur, et combattez tous deux. Nous restons là où nous sommes».

They said: "O Moses! while they remain there, never shall we be able to enter, to the end of time. Go thou, and thy Lord, and fight ye two, while we sit here (and watch)."

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى لَآ أَمْلِكُ إِلَّا نَفْسِى وَأَخِى ۖ فَافْرُقْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ الْقَوْمِ الْفَٰسِقِينَ[25]

Qala rabbi innee la amliku illa nafsee waakhee faofruq baynana wabayna alqawmi alfasiqeena

Il dit: «Seigneur! Je n'ai de pouvoir, vraiment, que sur moi-même et sur mon frère: sépare-nous donc de ce peuple pervers».

He said: "O my Lord! I have power only over myself and my brother: so separate us from this rebellious people!"

قَالَ فَإِنَّهَا مُحَرَّمَةٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ۛ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً ۛ يَتِيهُونَ فِى الْأَرْضِ ۚ فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْفَٰسِقِينَ[26]

Qala fainnaha muharramatun AAalayhim arbaAAeena sanatan yateehoona fee alardi fala tasa AAala alqawmi alfasiqeena

Il (Allah) dit: «Eh bien, ce pays leur sera interdit pendant quarante ans, durant lesquels ils erreront sur la terre. Ne te tourmente donc pas pour ce peuple pervers».

Allah said: "Therefore will the land be out of their reach for forty years: In distraction will they wander through the land: But sorrow thou not over these rebellious people.

۞ وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ ابْنَىْ ءَادَمَ بِالْحَقِّ إِذْ قَرَّبَا قُرْبَانًا فَتُقُبِّلَ مِنْ أَحَدِهِمَا وَلَمْ يُتَقَبَّلْ مِنَ الْءَاخَرِ قَالَ لَأَقْتُلَنَّكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَتَقَبَّلُ اللَّهُ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِينَ[27]

Waotlu AAalayhim nabaa ibnay adama bialhaqqi ith qarraba qurbanan fatuqubbila min ahadihima walam yutaqabbal mina alakhari qala laaqtulannaka qala innama yataqabbalu Allahu mina almuttaqeena

Et raconte-leur en toute vérité l'histoire des deux fils d'Adam. Les deux offrirent des sacrifices; celui de l'un fut accepté et celui de l'autre ne le fut pas. Celui-ci dit: «Je te tuerai sûrement». «Allah n'accepte, dit l'autre, que de la part des pieux».

Recite to them the truth of the story of the two sons of Adam. Behold! they each presented a sacrifice (to Allah): It was accepted from one, but not from the other. Said the latter: "Be sure I will slay thee." "Surely," said the former, "Allah doth accept of the sacrifice of those who are righteous.

لَئِنۢ بَسَطتَ إِلَىَّ يَدَكَ لِتَقْتُلَنِى مَآ أَنَا۠ بِبَاسِطٍ يَدِىَ إِلَيْكَ لِأَقْتُلَكَ ۖ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ اللَّهَ رَبَّ الْعَٰلَمِينَ[28]

Lain basatta ilayya yadaka litaqtulanee ma ana bibasitin yadiya ilayka liaqtulaka innee akhafu Allaha rabba alAAalameena

Si tu étends vers moi ta main pour me tuer, moi, je n'étendrai pas vers toi ma main pour te tuer: car je crains Allah, le Seigneur de l'Univers.

"If thou dost stretch thy hand against me, to slay me, it is not for me to stretch my hand against thee to slay thee: for I do fear Allah, the cherisher of the worlds.

إِنِّىٓ أُرِيدُ أَن تَبُوٓأَ بِإِثْمِى وَإِثْمِكَ فَتَكُونَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ النَّارِ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَٰٓؤُا۟ الظَّٰلِمِينَ[29]

Innee oreedu an tabooa biithmee waithmika fatakoona min ashabi alnnari wathalika jazao alththalimeena

Je veux que tu partes avec le péché de m'avoir tué et avec ton propre péché: alors tu seras du nombre des gens du Feu. Telle est la récompense des injustes.

"For me, I intend to let thee draw on thyself my sin as well as thine, for thou wilt be among the companions of the fire, and that is the reward of those who do wrong."

فَطَوَّعَتْ لَهُۥ نَفْسُهُۥ قَتْلَ أَخِيهِ فَقَتَلَهُۥ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ الْخَٰسِرِينَ[30]

FatawwaAAat lahu nafsuhu qatla akheehi faqatalahu faasbaha mina alkhasireena

Son âme l'incita à tuer son frère. Il le tua donc et devint ainsi du nombre des perdants.

The (selfish) soul of the other led him to the murder of his brother: he murdered him, and became (himself) one of the lost ones.

فَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ غُرَابًا يَبْحَثُ فِى الْأَرْضِ لِيُرِيَهُۥ كَيْفَ يُوَٰرِى سَوْءَةَ أَخِيهِ ۚ قَالَ يَٰوَيْلَتَىٰٓ أَعَجَزْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِثْلَ هَٰذَا الْغُرَابِ فَأُوَٰرِىَ سَوْءَةَ أَخِى ۖ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ النَّٰدِمِينَ[31]

FabaAAatha Allahu ghuraban yabhathu fee alardi liyuriyahu kayfa yuwaree sawata akheehi qala ya waylata aAAajaztu an akoona mithla hatha alghurabi faowariya sawata akhee faasbaha mina alnnadimeena

Puis Allah envoya un corbeau qui se mit à gratter la terre pour lui montrer comment ensevelir le cadavre de son frère. Il dit: «Malheur à moi! Suis-je incapable d'être, comme ce corbeau, à même d'ensevelir le cadavre de mon frère?» Il devint alors du nombre de ceux que ronge le remords.

Then Allah sent a raven, who scratched the ground, to show him how to hide the shame of his brother. "Woe is me!" said he; "Was I not even able to be as this raven, and to hide the shame of my brother?" then he became full of regrets-

مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَٰلِكَ كَتَبْنَا عَلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ أَنَّهُۥ مَن قَتَلَ نَفْسًۢا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِى الْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَآ أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا ۚ وَلَقَدْ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا بِالْبَيِّنَٰتِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فِى الْأَرْضِ لَمُسْرِفُونَ[32]

Min ajli thalika katabna AAala banee israeela annahu man qatala nafsan bighayri nafsin aw fasadin fee alardi fakaannama qatala alnnasa jameeAAan waman ahyaha fakaannama ahya alnnasa jameeAAan walaqad jaa thum rusuluna bialbayyinati thumma inna katheeran minhum baAAda thalika fee alardi lamusrifoona

C'est pourquoi Nous avons prescrit pour les Enfants d'Israël que quiconque tuerait une personne non coupable d'un meurtre ou d'une corruption sur la terre, c'est comme s'il avait tué tous les hommes. Et quiconque lui fait don de la vie, c'est comme s'il faisait don de la vie à tous les hommes. En effet Nos messagers sont venus à eux avec les preuves. Et puis voilà, qu'en dépit de cela, beaucoup d'entre eux se mettent à commettre des excès sur la terre.

On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our messengers with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land.

إِنَّمَا جَزَٰٓؤُا۟ الَّذِينَ يُحَارِبُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِى الْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا أَن يُقَتَّلُوٓا۟ أَوْ يُصَلَّبُوٓا۟ أَوْ تُقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُم مِّنْ خِلَٰفٍ أَوْ يُنفَوْا۟ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لَهُمْ خِزْىٌ فِى الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِى الْءَاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ[33]

Innama jazao allatheena yuhariboona Allaha warasoolahu wayasAAawna fee alardi fasadan an yuqattaloo aw yusallaboo aw tuqattaAAa aydeehim waarjuluhum min khilafin aw yunfaw mina alardi thalika lahum khizyun fee alddunya walahum fee alakhirati AAathabun AAatheemun

La récompense de ceux qui font la guerre contre Allah et Son messager, et qui s'efforcent de semer la corruption sur la terre, c'est qu'ils soient tués, ou crucifiés, ou que soient coupées leur main et leur jambe opposées, ou qu'ils soient expulsés du pays. Ce sera pour eux l'ignominie ici-bas; et dans l'au-delà, il y aura pour eux un énorme châtiment,

The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;

إِلَّا الَّذِينَ تَابُوا۟ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَقْدِرُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ فَاعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ[34]

Illa allatheena taboo min qabli an taqdiroo AAalayhim faiAAlamoo anna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun

excepté ceux qui se sont repentis avant de tomber en votre pouvoir: sachez qu'alors, Allah est Pardonneur et Miséricordieux.

Except for those who repent before they fall into your power: in that case, know that Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ اتَّقُوا۟ اللَّهَ وَابْتَغُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ الْوَسِيلَةَ وَجَٰهِدُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ[35]

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ittaqoo Allaha waibtaghoo ilayhi alwaseelata wajahidoo fee sabeelihi laAAallakum tuflihoona

O les croyants! Craignez Allah, cherchez le moyen de vous rapprocher de Lui et luttez pour Sa cause. Peut-être serez-vous de ceux qui réussissent!

O ye who believe! Do your duty to Allah, seek the means of approach unto Him, and strive with might and main in his cause: that ye may prosper.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْ أَنَّ لَهُم مَّا فِى الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا وَمِثْلَهُۥ مَعَهُۥ لِيَفْتَدُوا۟ بِهِۦ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَٰمَةِ مَا تُقُبِّلَ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ[36]

Inna allatheena kafaroo law anna lahum ma fee alardi jameeAAan wamithlahu maAAahu liyaftadoo bihi min AAathabi yawmi alqiyamati ma tuqubbila minhum walahum AAathabun aleemun

Si les mécréants possédaient tout ce qui est sur la terre et autant encore, pour se racheter du châtiment du Jour de la Résurrection, on ne l'accepterait pas d'eux. Et pour eux il y aura un châtiment douloureux.

As to those who reject Faith,- if they had everything on earth, and twice repeated, to give as ransom for the penalty of the Day of Judgment, it would never be accepted of them, theirs would be a grievous penalty.

يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنَ النَّارِ وَمَا هُم بِخَٰرِجِينَ مِنْهَا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيمٌ[37]

Yureedoona an yakhrujoo mina alnnari wama hum bikharijeena minha walahum AAathabun muqeemun

Ils voudront sortir du Feu, mais ils n'en sortiront point. Et ils auront un châtiment permanent.

Their wish will be to get out of the Fire, but never will they get out therefrom: their penalty will be one that endures.

وَالسَّارِقُ وَالسَّارِقَةُ فَاقْطَعُوٓا۟ أَيْدِيَهُمَا جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَسَبَا نَكَٰلًا مِّنَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ[38]

Waalssariqu waalssariqatu faiqtaAAoo aydiyahuma jazaan bima kasaba nakalan mina Allahi waAllahu AAazeezun hakeemun

Le voleur et la voleuse, à tous deux coupez la main, en punition de ce qu'ils se sont acquis, et comme châtiment de la part d'Allah. Allah est Puissant et Sage.

As to the thief, Male or female, cut off his or her hands: a punishment by way of example, from Allah, for their crime: and Allah is Exalted in power.

فَمَن تَابَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ظُلْمِهِۦ وَأَصْلَحَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ[39]

Faman taba min baAAdi thulmihi waaslaha fainna Allaha yatoobu AAalayhi inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun

Mais quiconque se repent après son tort et se réforme, Allah accepte son repentir. Car, Allah est, certes, Pardonneur et Miséricordieux.

But if the thief repents after his crime, and amends his conduct, Allah turneth to him in forgiveness; for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُۥ مُلْكُ السَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالْأَرْضِ يُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ[40]

Alam taAAlam anna Allaha lahu mulku alssamawati waalardi yuAAaththibu man yashao wayaghfiru liman yashao waAllahu AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

Ne sais-tu pas qu'à Allah appartient la royauté des cieux et de la terre? Il châtie qui Il veut et pardonne à qui Il veut. Et Allah est Omnipotent.

Knowest thou not that to Allah (alone) belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth? He punisheth whom He pleaseth, and He forgiveth whom He pleaseth: and Allah hath power over all things.

۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ لَا يَحْزُنكَ الَّذِينَ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى الْكُفْرِ مِنَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِن قُلُوبُهُمْ ۛ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ ۛ سَمَّٰعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ سَمَّٰعُونَ لِقَوْمٍ ءَاخَرِينَ لَمْ يَأْتُوكَ ۖ يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَوَاضِعِهِۦ ۖ يَقُولُونَ إِنْ أُوتِيتُمْ هَٰذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْتَوْهُ فَاحْذَرُوا۟ ۚ وَمَن يُرِدِ اللَّهُ فِتْنَتَهُۥ فَلَن تَمْلِكَ لَهُۥ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ أَن يُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمْ ۚ لَهُمْ فِى الدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِى الْءَاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ[41]

Ya ayyuha alrrasoolu la yahzunka allatheena yusariAAoona fee alkufri mina allatheena qaloo amanna biafwahihim walam tumin quloobuhum wamina allatheena hadoo sammaAAoona lilkathibi sammaAAoona liqawmin akhareena lam yatooka yuharrifoona alkalima min baAAdi mawadiAAihi yaqooloona in ooteetum hatha fakhuthoohu wain lam tutawhu faihtharoo waman yuridi Allahu fitnatahu falan tamlika lahu mina Allahi shayan olaika allatheena lam yuridi Allahu an yutahhira quloobahum lahum fee alddunya khizyun walahum fee alakhirati AAathabun AAatheemun

O Messager! Que ne t'affligent point ceux qui concourent en mécréance; parmi ceux qui ont dit: «Nous avons cru» avec leurs bouches sans que leurs cœurs aient jamais cru et parmi les Juifs qui aiment bien écouter le mensonge et écouter d'autres gens qui ne sont jamais venus à toi et qui déforment le sens des mots une fois bien établi. Ils disent: «Si vous avez reçu ceci, acceptez-le et si vous ne l'avez pas reçu, soyez méfiants». Celui qu'Allah veut éprouver, tu n'as pour lui aucune protection contre Allah. Voilà ceux dont Allah n'a point voulu purifier les cœurs. A eux, seront réservés, une ignominie ici-bas et un énorme châtiment dans l'au-delà.

O Messenger! let not those grieve thee, who race each other into unbelief: (whether it be) among those who say "We believe" with their lips but whose hearts have no faith; or it be among the Jews,- men who will listen to any lie,- will listen even to others who have never so much as come to thee. They change the words from their (right) times and places: they say, "If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware!" If any one's trial is intended by Allah, thou hast no authority in the least for him against Allah. For such - it is not Allah's will to purify their hearts. For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a heavy punishment.

سَمَّٰعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ أَكَّٰلُونَ لِلسُّحْتِ ۚ فَإِن جَآءُوكَ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَهُمْ أَوْ أَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ ۖ وَإِن تُعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ فَلَن يَضُرُّوكَ شَيْـًٔا ۖ وَإِنْ حَكَمْتَ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِالْقِسْطِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِينَ[42]

SammaAAoona lilkathibi akkaloona lilssuhti fain jaooka faohkum baynahum aw aAArid AAanhum wain tuAArid AAanhum falan yadurrooka shayan wain hakamta faohkum baynahum bialqisti inna Allaha yuhibbu almuqsiteena

Ils sont attentifs au mensonge et voraces de gains illicites. S'ils viennent à toi, sois juge entre eux ou détourne toi d'eux. Et si tu te détournes d'eux, jamais ils ne pourront te faire aucun mal. Et si tu juges, alors juge entre eux en équité. Car Allah aime ceux qui jugent équitablement.

(They are fond of) listening to falsehood, of devouring anything forbidden. If they do come to thee, either judge between them, or decline to interfere. If thou decline, they cannot hurt thee in the least. If thou judge, judge in equity between them. For Allah loveth those who judge in equity.

وَكَيْفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِندَهُمُ التَّوْرَىٰةُ فِيهَا حُكْمُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ ۚ وَمَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ[43]

Wakayfa yuhakkimoonaka waAAindahumu alttawratu feeha hukmu Allahi thumma yatawallawna min baAAdi thalika wama olaika bialmumineena

Mais comment te demanderaient-ils d'être leur juge quand ils ont avec eux la Thora dans laquelle se trouve le jugement d'Allah? Et puis, après cela, ils rejettent ton jugement. Ces gens-là ne sont nullement les croyants.

But why do they come to thee for decision, when they have (their own) law before them?- therein is the (plain) command of Allah; yet even after that, they would turn away. For they are not (really) People of Faith.

إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَا التَّوْرَىٰةَ فِيهَا هُدًى وَنُورٌ ۚ يَحْكُمُ بِهَا النَّبِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ أَسْلَمُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَالرَّبَّٰنِيُّونَ وَالْأَحْبَارُ بِمَا اسْتُحْفِظُوا۟ مِن كِتَٰبِ اللَّهِ وَكَانُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ شُهَدَآءَ ۚ فَلَا تَخْشَوُا۟ النَّاسَ وَاخْشَوْنِ وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِى ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْكَٰفِرُونَ[44]

Inna anzalna alttawrata feeha hudan wanoorun yahkumu biha alnnabiyyoona allatheena aslamoo lillatheena hadoo waalrrabbaniyyoona waalahbaru bima istuhfithoo min kitabi Allahi wakanoo AAalayhi shuhadaa fala takhshawoo alnnasa waikhshawni wala tashtaroo biayatee thamanan qaleelan waman lam yahkum bima anzala Allahu faolaika humu alkafiroona

Nous avons fait descendre la Thora dans laquelle il y a guide et lumière. C'est sur sa base que les prophètes qui se sont soumis à Allah, ainsi que les rabbins et les docteurs jugent les affaires des Juifs. Car on leur a confié la garde du Livre d'Allah, et ils en sont les témoins. Ne craignez donc pas les gens, mais craignez Moi. Et ne vendez pas Mes enseignements à vil prix. Et ceux qui ne jugent pas d'après ce qu'Allah a fait descendre, les voilà les mécréants.

It was We who revealed the law (to Moses): therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews, by the prophets who bowed (as in Islam) to Allah's will, by the rabbis and the doctors of law: for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah's book, and they were witnesses thereto: therefore fear not men, but fear me, and sell not my signs for a miserable price. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) Unbelievers.

وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَآ أَنَّ النَّفْسَ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالْعَيْنَ بِالْعَيْنِ وَالْأَنفَ بِالْأَنفِ وَالْأُذُنَ بِالْأُذُنِ وَالسِّنَّ بِالسِّنِّ وَالْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌ ۚ فَمَن تَصَدَّقَ بِهِۦ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌ لَّهُۥ ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الظَّٰلِمُونَ[45]

Wakatabna AAalayhim feeha anna alnnafsa bialnnafsi waalAAayna bialAAayni waalanfa bialanfi waalothuna bialothuni waalssinna bialssinni waaljurooha qisasun faman tasaddaqa bihi fahuwa kaffaratun lahu waman lam yahkum bima anzala Allahu faolaika humu alththalimoona

Et Nous y avons prescrit pour eux vie pour vie, œil pour œil, nez pour nez, oreille pour oreille, dent pour dent. Les blessures tombent sous la loi du talion. Après, quiconque y renonce par charité, cela lui vaudra une expiation. Et ceux qui ne jugent pas d'après ce qu'Allah a fait descendre, ceux-là sont des injustes.

We ordained therein for them: "Life for life, eye for eye, nose or nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal." But if any one remits the retaliation by way of charity, it is an act of atonement for himself. And if any fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (No better than) wrong-doers.

وَقَفَّيْنَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِم بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ التَّوْرَىٰةِ ۖ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ الْإِنجِيلَ فِيهِ هُدًى وَنُورٌ وَمُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ التَّوْرَىٰةِ وَهُدًى وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ[46]

Waqaffayna AAala atharihim biAAeesa ibni maryama musaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi mina alttawrati waataynahu alinjeela feehi hudan wanoorun wamusaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi mina alttawrati wahudan wamawAAithatan lilmuttaqeena

Et Nous avons envoyé après eux Jésus, fils de Marie, pour confirmer ce qu'il y avait dans la Thora avant lui. Et Nous lui avons donné l'Evangile, où il y a guide et lumière, pour confirmer ce qu'il y avait dans la Thora avant lui, et un guide et une exhortation pour les pieux.

And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.

وَلْيَحْكُمْ أَهْلُ الْإِنجِيلِ بِمَآ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْفَٰسِقُونَ[47]

Walyahkum ahlu alinjeeli bima anzala Allahu feehi waman lam yahkum bima anzala Allahu faolaika humu alfasiqoona

Que les gens de l'Evangile jugent d'après ce qu'Allah y a fait descendre. Ceux qui ne jugent pas d'après ce qu'Allah a fait descendre, ceux-là sont les pervers.

Let the people of the Gospel judge by what Allah hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) those who rebel.

وَأَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَٰبَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ الْكِتَٰبِ وَمُهَيْمِنًا عَلَيْهِ ۖ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ عَمَّا جَآءَكَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ ۚ لِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مِنكُمْ شِرْعَةً وَمِنْهَاجًا ۚ وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةً وَٰحِدَةً وَلَٰكِن لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِى مَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ ۖ فَاسْتَبِقُوا۟ الْخَيْرَٰتِ ۚ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ[48]

Waanzalna ilayka alkitaba bialhaqqi musaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi mina alkitabi wamuhayminan AAalayhi faohkum baynahum bima anzala Allahu wala tattabiAA ahwaahum AAamma jaaka mina alhaqqi likullin jaAAalna minkum shirAAatan waminhajan walaw shaa Allahu lajaAAalakum ommatan wahidatan walakin liyabluwakum fee ma atakum faistabiqoo alkhayrati ila Allahi marjiAAukum jameeAAan fayunabbiokum bima kuntum feehi takhtalifoona

Et sur toi (Muhammad) Nous avons fait descendre le Livre avec la vérité, pour confirmer le Livre qui était là avant lui et pour prévaloir sur lui. Juge donc parmi eux d'après ce qu'Allah a fait descendre. Ne suis pas leurs passions, loin de la vérité qui t'est venue. A chacun de vous Nous avons assigné une législation et un plan à suivre. Si Allah avait voulu, certes Il aurait fait de vous tous une seule communauté. Mais Il veut vous éprouver en ce qu'Il vous donne. Concurrencez donc dans les bonnes cœvres. C'est vers Allah qu'est votre retour à tous; alors Il vous informera de ce en quoi vous divergiez.

To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way. If Allah had so willed, He would have made you a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute;

وَأَنِ احْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ وَاحْذَرْهُمْ أَن يَفْتِنُوكَ عَنۢ بَعْضِ مَآ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ ۖ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَن يُصِيبَهُم بِبَعْضِ ذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ النَّاسِ لَفَٰسِقُونَ[49]

Waani ohkum baynahum bima anzala Allahu wala tattabiAA ahwaahum waihtharhum an yaftinooka AAan baAAdi ma anzala Allahu ilayka fain tawallaw faiAAlam annama yureedu Allahu an yuseebahum bibaAAdi thunoobihim wainna katheeran mina alnnasi lafasiqoona

Juge alors parmi eux d'après ce qu'Allah a fait descendre. Ne suis pas leurs passions, et prends garde qu'ils ne tentent de t'éloigner d'une partie de ce qu'Allah t'a révélé. Et puis, s'ils refusent (le jugement révélé) sache qu'Allah veut les affliger [ici-bas] pour une partie de leurs péchés. Beaucoup de gens, certes, sont des pervers.

And this (He commands): Judge thou between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, but beware of them lest they beguile thee from any of that (teaching) which Allah hath sent down to thee. And if they turn away, be assured that for some of their crime it is Allah's purpose to punish them. And truly most men are rebellious.

أَفَحُكْمَ الْجَٰهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ ۚ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ حُكْمًا لِّقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ[50]

Afahukma aljahiliyyati yabghoona waman ahsanu mina Allahu hukman liqawmin yooqinoona

Est-ce donc le jugement du temps de l'Ignorance qu'ils cherchent? Qu'y a-t-il de meilleur qu'Allah, en matière de jugement pour des gens qui ont une foi ferme?

Do they then seek after a judgment of (the days of) ignorance? But who, for a people whose faith is assured, can give better judgment than Allah?

۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُوا۟ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَٰرَىٰٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۘ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُم مِّنكُمْ فَإِنَّهُۥ مِنْهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الظَّٰلِمِينَ[51]

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tattakhithoo alyahooda waalnnasara awliyaa baAAduhum awliyao baAAdin waman yatawallahum minkum fainnahu minhum inna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alththalimeena

O les croyants! Ne prenez pas pour alliés les Juifs et les Chrétiens; ils sont alliés les uns des autres. Et celui d'entre vous qui les prend pour alliés, devient un des leurs. Allah ne guide certes pas les gens injustes.

O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.

فَتَرَى الَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِيهِمْ يَقُولُونَ نَخْشَىٰٓ أَن تُصِيبَنَا دَآئِرَةٌ ۚ فَعَسَى اللَّهُ أَن يَأْتِىَ بِالْفَتْحِ أَوْ أَمْرٍ مِّنْ عِندِهِۦ فَيُصْبِحُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَسَرُّوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ نَٰدِمِينَ[52]

Fatara allatheena fee quloobihim maradun yusariAAoona feehim yaqooloona nakhsha an tuseebana dairatun faAAasa Allahu an yatiya bialfathi aw amrin min AAindihi fayusbihoo AAala ma asarroo fee anfusihim nadimeena

Tu verras, d'ailleurs, que ceux qui ont la maladie au cœur se précipitent vers eux et disent: «Nous craignons qu'un revers de fortune ne nous frappe.» Mais peut-être qu'Allah fera venir la victoire ou un ordre émanant de Lui. Alors ceux-là regretteront leurs pensées secrètes.

Those in whose hearts is a disease - thou seest how eagerly they run about amongst them, saying: "We do fear lest a change of fortune bring us disaster." Ah! perhaps Allah will give (thee) victory, or a decision according to His will. Then will they repent of the thoughts which they secretly harboured in their hearts.

وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ الَّذِينَ أَقْسَمُوا۟ بِاللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ ۙ إِنَّهُمْ لَمَعَكُمْ ۚ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ خَٰسِرِينَ[53]

Wayaqoolu allatheena amanoo ahaolai allatheena aqsamoo biAllahi jahda aymanihim innahum lamaAAakum habitat aAAmaluhum faasbahoo khasireena

Et les croyants diront: «Est-ce là ceux qui juraient par Allah de toute leur force qu'ils étaient avec vous?» Mais leurs actions sont devenues vaines et ils sont devenus perdants.

And those who believe will say: "Are these the men who swore their strongest oaths by Allah, that they were with you?" All that they do will be in vain, and they will fall into (nothing but) ruin.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَن يَرْتَدَّ مِنكُمْ عَن دِينِهِۦ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِى اللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ يُحِبُّهُمْ وَيُحِبُّونَهُۥٓ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى الْكَٰفِرِينَ يُجَٰهِدُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَةَ لَآئِمٍ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ[54]

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo man yartadda minkum AAan deenihi fasawfa yatee Allahu biqawmin yuhibbuhum wayuhibboonahu athillatin AAala almumineena aAAizzatin AAala alkafireena yujahidoona fee sabeeli Allahi wala yakhafoona lawmata laimin thalika fadlu Allahi yuteehi man yashao waAllahu wasiAAun AAaleemun

O les croyants! Quiconque parmi vous apostasie de sa religion... Allah va faire venir un peuple qu'Il aime et qui L'aime, modeste envers les croyants et fier et puissant envers les mécréants, qui lutte dans le sentier d'Allah, ne craignant le blâme d'aucun blâmeur. Telle est la grâce d'Allah. Il la donne à qui Il veut. Allah est Immense et Omniscient.

O ye who believe! if any from among you turn back from his Faith, soon will Allah produce a people whom He will love as they will love Him,- lowly with the believers, mighty against the rejecters, fighting in the way of Allah, and never afraid of the reproaches of such as find fault. That is the grace of Allah, which He will bestow on whom He pleaseth. And Allah encompasseth all, and He knoweth all things.

إِنَّمَا وَلِيُّكُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥ وَالَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُمْ رَٰكِعُونَ[55]

Innama waliyyukumu Allahu warasooluhu waallatheena amanoo allatheena yuqeemoona alssalata wayutoona alzzakata wahum rakiAAoona

Vous n'avez d'autres alliés qu'Allah, Son messager, et les croyants qui accomplissent la Salât, s'acquittent de la Zakât, et s'inclinent (devant Allah).

Your (real) friends are (no less than) Allah, His Messenger, and the (fellowship of) believers,- those who establish regular prayers and regular charity, and they bow down humbly (in worship).

وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَالَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ فَإِنَّ حِزْبَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْغَٰلِبُونَ[56]

Waman yatawalla Allaha warasoolahu waallatheena amanoo fainna hizba Allahi humu alghaliboona

Et quiconque prend pour alliés Allah, Son messager et les croyants, [réussira] car c'est le parti d'Allah qui sera victorieux.

As to those who turn (for friendship) to Allah, His Messenger, and the (fellowship of) believers,- it is the fellowship of Allah that must certainly triumph.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُوا۟ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا۟ دِينَكُمْ هُزُوًا وَلَعِبًا مِّنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ الْكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَالْكُفَّارَ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۚ وَاتَّقُوا۟ اللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ[57]

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tattakhithoo allatheena ittakhathoo deenakum huzuwan walaAAiban mina allatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablikum waalkuffara awliyaa waittaqoo Allaha in kuntum mumineena

O les croyants! N'adoptez pas pour alliés ceux qui prennent en raillerie et jeu votre religion, parmi ceux à qui le Livre fut donné avant vous et parmi les mécréants. Et craignez Allah si vous êtes croyants.

O ye who believe! take not for friends and protectors those who take your religion for a mockery or sport,- whether among those who received the Scripture before you, or among those who reject Faith; but fear ye Allah, if ye have faith (indeed).

وَإِذَا نَادَيْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَوٰةِ اتَّخَذُوهَا هُزُوًا وَلَعِبًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَعْقِلُونَ[58]

Waitha nadaytum ila alssalati ittakhathooha huzuwan walaAAiban thalika biannahum qawmun la yaAAqiloona

Et lorsque vous faites l'appel à la Salât, ils la prennent en raillerie et jeu. C'est qu'ils sont des gens qui ne raisonnent point.

When ye proclaim your call to prayer they take it (but) as mockery and sport; that is because they are a people without understanding.

قُلْ يَٰٓأَهْلَ الْكِتَٰبِ هَلْ تَنقِمُونَ مِنَّآ إِلَّآ أَنْ ءَامَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلُ وَأَنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ[59]

Qul ya ahla alkitabi hal tanqimoona minna illa an amanna biAllahi wama onzila ilayna wama onzila min qablu waanna aktharakum fasiqoona

Dis: «O gens du Livre! Est-ce que vous nous reprochez autre chose que de croire en Allah, à ce qu'on a fait descendre vers nous et à ce qu'on a fait descendre auparavant? Mais la plupart d'entre vous sont des pervers.

Say: "O people of the Book! Do ye disapprove of us for no other reason than that we believe in Allah, and the revelation that hath come to us and that which came before (us), and (perhaps) that most of you are rebellious and disobedient?"

قُلْ هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرٍّ مِّن ذَٰلِكَ مَثُوبَةً عِندَ اللَّهِ ۚ مَن لَّعَنَهُ اللَّهُ وَغَضِبَ عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهُمُ الْقِرَدَةَ وَالْخَنَازِيرَ وَعَبَدَ الطَّٰغُوتَ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ عَن سَوَآءِ السَّبِيلِ[60]

Qul hal onabbiokum bisharrin min thalika mathoobatan AAinda Allahi man laAAanahu Allahu waghadiba AAalayhi wajaAAala minhumu alqiradata waalkhanazeera waAAabada alttaghooti olaika sharrun makanan waadallu AAan sawai alssabeeli

Dis: «Puis-je vous informer de ce qu'il y a de pire, en fait de rétribution auprès d'Allah? Celui qu'Allah a maudit, celui qui a encouru Sa colère, et ceux dont Il a fait des singes, des porcs, et de même, celui qui a adoré le Tâghût, ceux-là ont la pire des places et sont les plus égarés du chemin droit».

Say: "Shall I point out to you something much worse than this, (as judged) by the treatment it received from Allah? those who incurred the curse of Allah and His wrath, those of whom some He transformed into apes and swine, those who worshipped evil;- these are (many times) worse in rank, and far more astray from the even path!"

وَإِذَا جَآءُوكُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَقَد دَّخَلُوا۟ بِالْكُفْرِ وَهُمْ قَدْ خَرَجُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْتُمُونَ[61]

Waitha jaookum qaloo amanna waqad dakhaloo bialkufri wahum qad kharajoo bihi waAllahu aAAlamu bima kanoo yaktumoona

Lorsqu'ils viennent chez vous, ils disent: «Nous croyons.» Alors qu'ils sont entrés avec la mécréance et qu'ils sont sortis avec. Et Allah sait parfaitement ce qu'ils cachent.

When they come to thee, they say: "We believe": but in fact they enter with a mind against Faith, and they go out with the same but Allah knoweth fully all that they hide.

وَتَرَىٰ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُمْ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَٰنِ وَأَكْلِهِمُ السُّحْتَ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ[62]

Watara katheeran minhum yusariAAoona fee alithmi waalAAudwani waaklihimu alssuhta labisa ma kanoo yaAAmaloona

Et tu verras beaucoup d'entre eux se précipiter vers le péché et l'iniquité, et manger des gains illicites. Comme est donc mauvais ce qu'ils œuvrent!

Many of them dost thou see, racing each other in sin and rancour, and their eating of things forbidden. Evil indeed are the things that they do.

لَوْلَا يَنْهَىٰهُمُ الرَّبَّٰنِيُّونَ وَالْأَحْبَارُ عَن قَوْلِهِمُ الْإِثْمَ وَأَكْلِهِمُ السُّحْتَ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْنَعُونَ[63]

Lawla yanhahumu alrrabbaniyyoona waalahbaru AAan qawlihimu alithma waaklihimu alssuhta labisa ma kanoo yasnaAAoona

Pourquoi les rabbins et les docteurs (de la Loi religieuse) ne les empêchent-ils pas de tenir des propos mensongers et de manger des gains illicites? Que leurs actions sont donc mauvaises!

Why do not the rabbis and the doctors of Law forbid them from their (habit of) uttering sinful words and eating things forbidden? Evil indeed are their works.

وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ يَدُ اللَّهِ مَغْلُولَةٌ ۚ غُلَّتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَلُعِنُوا۟ بِمَا قَالُوا۟ ۘ بَلْ يَدَاهُ مَبْسُوطَتَانِ يُنفِقُ كَيْفَ يَشَآءُ ۚ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم مَّآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَٰنًا وَكُفْرًا ۚ وَأَلْقَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَٰوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَآءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَٰمَةِ ۚ كُلَّمَآ أَوْقَدُوا۟ نَارًا لِّلْحَرْبِ أَطْفَأَهَا اللَّهُ ۚ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِى الْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا ۚ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُفْسِدِينَ[64]

Waqalati alyahoodu yadu Allahi maghloolatun ghullat aydeehim waluAAinoo bima qaloo bal yadahu mabsootatani yunfiqu kayfa yashao walayazeedanna katheeran minhum ma onzila ilayka min rabbika tughyanan wakufran waalqayna baynahumu alAAadawata waalbaghdaa ila yawmi alqiyamati kullama awqadoo naran lilharbi atfaaha Allahu wayasAAawna fee alardi fasadan waAllahu la yuhibbu almufsideena

Et les Juifs disent: «La main d'Allah est fermée!» Que leurs propres mains soient fermées, et maudits soient-ils pour l'avoir dit. Au contraire, Ses deux mains sont largement ouvertes: Il distribue Ses dons comme Il veut. Et certes, ce qui a été descendu vers toi de la part de ton Seigneur va faire beaucoup croître parmi eux la rébellion et la mécréance. Nous avons jeté parmi eux l'inimitié et la haine jusqu'au Jour de la Résurrection. Toutes les fois qu'ils allument un feu pour la guerre, Allah l'éteint. Et ils s'efforcent de semer le désordre sur la terre, alors qu'Allah n'aime pas les semeurs de désordre.

The Jews say: "Allah's hand is tied up." Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for the (blasphemy) they utter. Nay, both His hands are widely outstretched: He giveth and spendeth (of His bounty) as He pleaseth. But the revelation that cometh to thee from Allah increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. Amongst them we have placed enmity and hatred till the Day of Judgment. Every time they kindle the fire of war, Allah doth extinguish it; but they (ever) strive to do mischief on earth. And Allah loveth not those who do mischief.

وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْكِتَٰبِ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَاتَّقَوْا۟ لَكَفَّرْنَا عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَلَأَدْخَلْنَٰهُمْ جَنَّٰتِ النَّعِيمِ[65]

Walaw anna ahla alkitabi amanoo waittaqaw lakaffarna AAanhum sayyiatihim walaadkhalnahum jannati alnnaAAeemi

Si les gens du Livre avaient la foi et la piété, Nous leur aurions certainement effacé leurs méfaits et les aurions certainement introduits dans les Jardins du délice.

If only the People of the Book had believed and been righteous, We should indeed have blotted out their iniquities and admitted them to gardens of bliss.

وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ أَقَامُوا۟ التَّوْرَىٰةَ وَالْإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِم مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ لَأَكَلُوا۟ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِم ۚ مِّنْهُمْ أُمَّةٌ مُّقْتَصِدَةٌ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ سَآءَ مَا يَعْمَلُونَ[66]

Walaw annahum aqamoo alttawrata waalinjeela wama onzila ilayhim min rabbihim laakaloo min fawqihim wamin tahti arjulihim minhum ommatun muqtasidatun wakatheerun minhum saa ma yaAAmaloona

S'ils avaient appliqué la Thora et l'Evangile et ce qui est descendu sur eux de la part de leur Seigneur, ils auraient certainement joui de ce qui est au-dessus d'eux et de ce qui est sous leurs pieds. Il y a parmi eux un groupe qui agit avec droiture; mais pour beaucoup d'entre eux, comme est mauvais ce qu'ils font!

If only they had stood fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that was sent to them from their Lord, they would have enjoyed happiness from every side. There is from among them a party on the right course: but many of them follow a course that is evil.

۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ۖ وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُۥ ۚ وَاللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الْكَٰفِرِينَ[67]

Ya ayyuha alrrasoolu balligh ma onzila ilayka min rabbika wain lam tafAAal fama ballaghta risalatahu waAllahu yaAAsimuka mina alnnasi inna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alkafireena

O Messager, transmets ce qui t'a été descendu de la part de ton Seigneur. Si tu ne le faisais pas, alors tu n'aurais pas communiqué Son message. Et Allah te protègera des gens. Certes, Allah ne guide pas les gens mécréants.

O Messenger! proclaim the (message) which hath been sent to thee from thy Lord. If thou didst not, thou wouldst not have fulfilled and proclaimed His mission. And Allah will defend thee from men (who mean mischief). For Allah guideth not those who reject Faith.

قُلْ يَٰٓأَهْلَ الْكِتَٰبِ لَسْتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰ تُقِيمُوا۟ التَّوْرَىٰةَ وَالْإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۗ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم مَّآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَٰنًا وَكُفْرًا ۖ فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَٰفِرِينَ[68]

Qul ya ahla alkitabi lastum AAala shayin hatta tuqeemoo alttawrata waalinjeela wama onzila ilaykum min rabbikum walayazeedanna katheeran minhum ma onzila ilayka min rabbika tughyanan wakufran fala tasa AAala alqawmi alkafireena

Dis: «O gens du Livre, vous ne tenez sur rien, tant que vous ne vous conformez pas à la Thora et à l'Evangile et à ce qui vous a été descendu de la part de votre Seigneur.» Et certes, ce qui t'a été descendu de la part de ton Seigneur va accroître beaucoup d'entre eux en rébellion et en mécréance. Ne te tourmente donc pas pour les gens mécréants.

Say: "O People of the Book! ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord." It is the revelation that cometh to thee from thy Lord, that increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. But sorrow thou not over (these) people without Faith.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَالَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَالصَّٰبِـُٔونَ وَالنَّصَٰرَىٰ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْءَاخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًا فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ[69]

Inna allatheena amanoo waallatheena hadoo waalssabioona waalnnasara man amana biAllahi waalyawmi alakhiri waAAamila salihan fala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona

Ceux qui ont cru, ceux qui se sont judaïsés, les Sabéens, et les Chrétiens, ceux parmi eux qui croient en Allah, au Jour dernier et qui accomplissent les bonnes œuvres, pas de crainte sur eux, et ils ne seront point affligés.

Those who believe (in the Qur'an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Sabians and the Christians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness,- on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

لَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَٰقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَأَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمْ رُسُلًا ۖ كُلَّمَا جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌۢ بِمَا لَا تَهْوَىٰٓ أَنفُسُهُمْ فَرِيقًا كَذَّبُوا۟ وَفَرِيقًا يَقْتُلُونَ[70]

Laqad akhathna meethaqa banee israeela waarsalna ilayhim rusulan kullama jaahum rasoolun bima la tahwa anfusuhum fareeqan kaththaboo wafareeqan yaqtuloona

Certes, Nous avions déjà pris l'engagement des Enfants d'Israël, et Nous leur avions envoyé des messagers. Mais chaque fois qu'un Messager leur vient avec ce qu'ils ne désirent pas, ils en traitent certains de menteurs et ils en tuent d'autres.

We took the covenant of the Children of Israel and sent them messengers, every time, there came to them a messenger with what they themselves desired not - some (of these) they called impostors, and some they (go so far as to) slay.

وَحَسِبُوٓا۟ أَلَّا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ فَعَمُوا۟ وَصَمُّوا۟ ثُمَّ تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ عَمُوا۟ وَصَمُّوا۟ كَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ[71]

Wahasiboo alla takoona fitnatun faAAamoo wasammoo thumma taba Allahu AAalayhim thumma AAamoo wasammoo katheerun minhum waAllahu baseerun bima yaAAmaloona

Comptant qu'il n'y aurait pas de tentation contre eux, ils étaient devenus aveugles et sourds. Puis Allah accueillit leur repentir. Ensuite, beaucoup d'entre eux redevinrent aveugles et sourds. Et Allah voit parfaitement ce qu'ils font.

They thought there would be no trial (or punishment); so they became blind and deaf; yet Allah (in mercy) turned to them; yet again many of them became blind and deaf. But Allah sees well all that they do.

لَقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۖ وَقَالَ الْمَسِيحُ يَٰبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ اعْبُدُوا۟ اللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبَّكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ مَن يُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَدْ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ وَمَأْوَىٰهُ النَّارُ ۖ وَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍ[72]

Laqad kafara allatheena qaloo inna Allaha huwa almaseehu ibnu maryama waqala almaseehu ya banee israeela oAAbudoo Allaha rabbee warabbakum innahu man yushrik biAllahi faqad harrama Allahu AAalayhi aljannata wamawahu alnnaru wama lilththalimeena min ansarin

Ce sont, certes, des mécréants ceux qui disent: «En vérité, Allah c'est le Messie, fils de Marie.» Alors que le Messie a dit: «O enfants d'Israël, adorez Allah, mon Seigneur et votre Seigneur». Quiconque associe à Allah (d'autres divinités,) Allah lui interdit le Paradis; et son refuge sera le Feu. Et pour les injustes, pas de secoureurs!

They do blaspheme who say: "Allah is Christ the son of Mary." But said Christ: "O Children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Whoever joins other gods with Allah,- Allah will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help.

لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ اللَّهَ ثَالِثُ ثَلَٰثَةٍ ۘ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ إِلَّآ إِلَٰهٌ وَٰحِدٌ ۚ وَإِن لَّمْ يَنتَهُوا۟ عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ لَيَمَسَّنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ[73]

Laqad kafara allatheena qaloo inna Allaha thalithu thalathatin wama min ilahin illa ilahun wahidun wain lam yantahoo AAamma yaqooloona layamassanna allatheena kafaroo minhum AAathabun aleemun

Ce sont certes des mécréants, ceux qui disent: «En vérité, Allah est le troisième de trois.» Alors qu'il n'y a de divinité qu'Une Divinité Unique! Et s'ils ne cessent de le dire, certes, un châtiment douloureux touchera les mécréants d'entre eux.

They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.

أَفَلَا يَتُوبُونَ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَهُۥ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ[74]

Afala yatooboona ila Allahi wayastaghfiroonahu waAllahu ghafoorun raheemun

Ne vont-ils donc pas se repentir à Allah et implorer Son pardon? Car Allah est Pardonneur et Miséricordieux.

Why turn they not to Allah, and seek His forgiveness? For Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

مَّا الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ إِلَّا رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ وَأُمُّهُۥ صِدِّيقَةٌ ۖ كَانَا يَأْكُلَانِ الطَّعَامَ ۗ انظُرْ كَيْفَ نُبَيِّنُ لَهُمُ الْءَايَٰتِ ثُمَّ انظُرْ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ[75]

Ma almaseehu ibnu maryama illa rasoolun qad khalat min qablihi alrrusulu waommuhu siddeeqatun kana yakulani alttaAAama onthur kayfa nubayyinu lahumu alayati thumma onthur anna yufakoona

Le Messie, fils de Marie, n'était qu'un Messager. Des messagers sont passés avant lui. Et sa mère était une véridique. Et tous deux consommaient de la nourriture. Vois comme Nous leur expliquons les preuves et puis vois comme ils se détournent.

Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!

قُلْ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا ۚ وَاللَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ[76]

Qul ataAAbudoona min dooni Allahi ma la yamliku lakum darran wala nafAAan waAllahu huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu

Dis: «Adorez-vous, au lieu d'Allah, ce qui n'a le pouvoir de vous faire ni le mal ni le bien?» Or c'est Allah qui est l'Audient et l'Omniscient.

Say: "Will ye worship, besides Allah, something which hath no power either to harm or benefit you? But Allah,- He it is that heareth and knoweth all things."

قُلْ يَٰٓأَهْلَ الْكِتَٰبِ لَا تَغْلُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ غَيْرَ الْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَ قَوْمٍ قَدْ ضَلُّوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ وَأَضَلُّوا۟ كَثِيرًا وَضَلُّوا۟ عَن سَوَآءِ السَّبِيلِ[77]

Qul ya ahla alkitabi la taghloo fee deenikum ghayra alhaqqi wala tattabiAAoo ahwaa qawmin qad dalloo min qablu waadalloo katheeran wadalloo AAan sawai alssabeeli

Dis: «O gens du Livre, n'exagérez pas en votre religion, s'opposant à la vérité. Ne suivez pas les passions des gens qui se sont égarés avant cela, qui ont égaré beaucoup de monde et qui se sont égarés du chemin droit.

Say: "O people of the Book! exceed not in your religion the bounds (of what is proper), trespassing beyond the truth, nor follow the vain desires of people who went wrong in times gone by,- who misled many, and strayed (themselves) from the even way.

لُعِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَلَىٰ لِسَانِ دَاوُۥدَ وَعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا۟ وَّكَانُوا۟ يَعْتَدُونَ[78]

LuAAina allatheena kafaroo min banee israeela AAala lisani dawooda waAAeesa ibni maryama thalika bima AAasaw wakanoo yaAAtadoona

Ceux des Enfants d'Israël qui n'avaient pas cru ont été maudits par la bouche de David et de Jésus fils de Marie, parce qu'ils désobéissaient et transgressaient.

Curses were pronounced on those among the Children of Israel who rejected Faith, by the tongue of David and of Jesus the son of Mary: because they disobeyed and persisted in excesses.

كَانُوا۟ لَا يَتَنَاهَوْنَ عَن مُّنكَرٍ فَعَلُوهُ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ[79]

Kanoo la yatanahawna AAan munkarin faAAaloohu labisa ma kanoo yafAAaloona

Ils ne s'interdisaient pas les uns aux autres ce qu'ils faisaient de blâmable. Comme est mauvais, certes, ce qu'ils faisaient!

Nor did they (usually) forbid one another the iniquities which they committed: evil indeed were the deeds which they did.

تَرَىٰ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُمْ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ لَهُمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ أَن سَخِطَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَفِى الْعَذَابِ هُمْ خَٰلِدُونَ[80]

Tara katheeran minhum yatawallawna allatheena kafaroo labisa ma qaddamat lahum anfusuhum an sakhita Allahu AAalayhim wafee alAAathabi hum khalidoona

Tu vois beaucoup d'entre eux s'allier aux mécréants. Comme est mauvais, certes, ce que leurs âmes ont préparé, pour eux-mêmes, de sorte qu'ils ont encouru le courroux d'Allah, et c'est dans le supplice qu'ils éterniseront.

Thou seest many of them turning in friendship to the Unbelievers. Evil indeed are (the works) which their souls have sent forward before them (with the result), that Allah's wrath is on them, and in torment will they abide.

وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالنَّبِىِّ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَا اتَّخَذُوهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَلَٰكِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ[81]

Walaw kanoo yuminoona biAllahi waalnnabiyyi wama onzila ilayhi ma ittakhathoohum awliyaa walakinna katheeran minhum fasiqoona

S'ils croyaient en Allah, au Prophète et à ce qui lui a été descendu, ils ne prendraient pas ces mécréants pour alliés. Mais beaucoup d'entre eux sont pervers.

If only they had believed in Allah, in the Prophet, and in what hath been revealed to him, never would they have taken them for friends and protectors, but most of them are rebellious wrong-doers.

۞ لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَدَٰوَةً لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ الْيَهُودَ وَالَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ ۖ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُم مَّوَدَّةً لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ الَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا نَصَٰرَىٰ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًا وَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ[82]

Latajidanna ashadda alnnasi AAadawatan lillatheena amanoo alyahooda waallatheena ashrakoo walatajidanna aqrabahum mawaddatan lillatheena amanoo allatheena qaloo inna nasara thalika bianna minhum qisseeseena waruhbanan waannahum la yastakbiroona

Tu trouveras certainement que les Juifs et les associateurs sont les ennemis les plus acharnés des croyants. Et tu trouveras certes que les plus disposés à aimer les croyants sont ceux qui disent: «Nous sommes chrétiens». C'est qu'il y a parmi eux des prêtres et des moines, et qu'ils ne s'enflent pas d'orgueil.

Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant.

وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا۟ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَى الرَّسُولِ تَرَىٰٓ أَعْيُنَهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُوا۟ مِنَ الْحَقِّ ۖ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّٰهِدِينَ[83]

Waitha samiAAoo ma onzila ila alrrasooli tara aAAyunahum tafeedu mina alddamAAi mimma AAarafoo mina alhaqqi yaqooloona rabbana amanna faoktubna maAAa alshshahideena

Et quand ils entendent ce qui a été descendu sur le Messager [Muhammad], tu vois leurs yeux déborder de larmes, parce qu'ils ont reconnu la vérité. Ils disent: «O notre Seigneur! Nous croyons: inscris-nous donc parmi ceux qui témoignent (de la véracité du Coran).

And when they listen to the revelation received by the Messenger, thou wilt see their eyes overflowing with tears, for they recognise the truth: they pray: "Our Lord! we believe; write us down among the witnesses.

وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَمَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَنَطْمَعُ أَن يُدْخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الصَّٰلِحِينَ[84]

Wama lana la numinu biAllahi wama jaana mina alhaqqi wanatmaAAu an yudkhilana rabbuna maAAa alqawmi alssaliheena

Pourquoi ne croirions-nous pas en Allah et à ce qui nous est parvenu de la vérité. Pourquoi ne convoitions-nous pas que notre Seigneur nous fasse entrer en la compagnie des gens vertueux?»

"What cause can we have not to believe in Allah and the truth which has come to us, seeing that we long for our Lord to admit us to the company of the righteous?"

فَأَثَٰبَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِمَا قَالُوا۟ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ الْمُحْسِنِينَ[85]

Faathabahumu Allahu bima qaloo jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha wathalika jazao almuhsineena

Allah donc les récompense pour ce qu'ils disent par des Jardins sous lesquels coulent les ruisseaux, où ils demeureront éternellement. Telle est la récompense des bienfaisants.

And for this their prayer hath Allah rewarded them with gardens, with rivers flowing underneath,- their eternal home. Such is the recompense of those who do good.

وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ الْجَحِيمِ[86]

Waallatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo biayatina olaika ashabu aljaheemi

Et quant à ceux qui ne croient pas et qui traitent de mensonges Nos versets, ce sont les gens de la Fournaise.

But those who reject Faith and belie our Signs,- they shall be companions of Hell-fire.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُحَرِّمُوا۟ طَيِّبَٰتِ مَآ أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَعْتَدُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ[87]

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tuharrimoo tayyibati ma ahalla Allahu lakum wala taAAtadoo inna Allaha la yuhibbu almuAAtadeena

O les croyants: ne déclarez pas illicites les bonnes choses qu'Allah vous a rendues licites. Et ne transgressez pas. Allah, (en vérité,) n'aime pas les transgresseurs.

O ye who believe! make not unlawful the good things which Allah hath made lawful for you, but commit no excess: for Allah loveth not those given to excess.

وَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ حَلَٰلًا طَيِّبًا ۚ وَاتَّقُوا۟ اللَّهَ الَّذِىٓ أَنتُم بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنُونَ[88]

Wakuloo mimma razaqakumu Allahu halalan tayyiban waittaqoo Allaha allathee antum bihi muminoona

Et mangez de ce qu'Allah vous a attribué de licite et de bon. Craignez Allah, en qui vous avez foi.

Eat of the things which Allah hath provided for you, lawful and good; but fear Allah, in Whom ye believe.

لَا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ اللَّهُ بِاللَّغْوِ فِىٓ أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَاخِذُكُم بِمَا عَقَّدتُّمُ الْأَيْمَٰنَ ۖ فَكَفَّٰرَتُهُۥٓ إِطْعَامُ عَشَرَةِ مَسَٰكِينَ مِنْ أَوْسَطِ مَا تُطْعِمُونَ أَهْلِيكُمْ أَوْ كِسْوَتُهُمْ أَوْ تَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ ۖ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلَٰثَةِ أَيَّامٍ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ كَفَّٰرَةُ أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ إِذَا حَلَفْتُمْ ۚ وَاحْفَظُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ[89]

La yuakhithukumu Allahu biallaghwi fee aymanikum walakin yuakhithukum bima AAaqqadtumu alaymana fakaffaratuhu itAAamu AAasharati masakeena min awsati ma tutAAimoona ahleekum aw kiswatuhum aw tahreeru raqabatin faman lam yajid fasiyamu thalathati ayyamin thalika kaffaratu aymanikum itha halaftum waihfathoo aymanakum kathalika yubayyinu Allahu lakum ayatihi laAAallakum tashkuroona

Allah ne vous sanctionne pas pour la frivolité dans vos serments, mais Il vous sanctionne pour les serments que vous avez l'intention d'exécuter. L'expiation en sera de nourrir dix pauvres, de ce dont vous nourrissez normalement vos familles, ou de les habiller, ou de libérer un esclave. Quiconque n'en trouve pas les moyens devra jeûner trois jours. Voilà l'expiation pour vos serments, lorsque vous avez juré. Et tenez à vos serments. Ainsi Allah vous explique Ses versets, afin que vous soyez reconnaissants!

Allah will not call you to account for what is futile in your oaths, but He will call you to account for your deliberate oaths: for expiation, feed ten indigent persons, on a scale of the average for the food of your families; or clothe them; or give a slave his freedom. If that is beyond your means, fast for three days. That is the expiation for the oaths ye have sworn. But keep to your oaths. Thus doth Allah make clear to you His signs, that ye may be grateful.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَيْسِرُ وَالْأَنصَابُ وَالْأَزْلَٰمُ رِجْسٌ مِّنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَٰنِ فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ[90]

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo innama alkhamru waalmaysiru waalansabu waalazlamu rijsun min AAamali alshshaytani faijtaniboohu laAAallakum tuflihoona

O les croyants! Le vin, le jeu de hasard, les pierres dressées, les flèches de divination ne sont qu'une abomination, œuvre du Diable. Ecartez-vous en, afin que vous réussissiez.

O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination,- of Satan's handwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper.

إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ الشَّيْطَٰنُ أَن يُوقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ الْعَدَٰوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَآءَ فِى الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَعَنِ الصَّلَوٰةِ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّنتَهُونَ[91]

Innama yureedu alshshaytanu an yooqiAAa baynakumu alAAadawata waalbaghdaa fee alkhamri waalmaysiri wayasuddakum AAan thikri Allahi waAAani alssalati fahal antum muntahoona

Le Diable ne veut que jeter parmi vous, à travers le vin et le jeu de hasard, l'inimitié et la haine, et vous détourner d'invoquer Allah et de la Salât. Allez-vous donc y mettre fin?

Satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from prayer: will ye not then abstain?

وَأَطِيعُوا۟ اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ الرَّسُولَ وَاحْذَرُوا۟ ۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَاعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا الْبَلَٰغُ الْمُبِينُ[92]

WaateeAAoo Allaha waateeAAoo alrrasoola waihtharoo fain tawallaytum faiAAlamoo annama AAala rasoolina albalaghu almubeenu

Obéissez à Allah, obéissez au Messager, et prenez garde! Si ensuite vous vous détournez... alors sachez qu'il n'incombe à Notre messager que de transmettre le message clairement.

Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and beware (of evil): if ye do turn back, know ye that it is Our Messenger's duty to proclaim (the message) in the clearest manner.

لَيْسَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ الصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جُنَاحٌ فِيمَا طَعِمُوٓا۟ إِذَا مَا اتَّقَوا۟ وَّءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ الصَّٰلِحَٰتِ ثُمَّ اتَّقَوا۟ وَّءَامَنُوا۟ ثُمَّ اتَّقَوا۟ وَّأَحْسَنُوا۟ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ[93]

Laysa AAala allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati junahun feema taAAimoo itha ma ittaqaw waamanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati thumma ittaqaw waamanoo thumma ittaqaw waahsanoo waAllahu yuhibbu almuhsineena

Ce n'est pas un péché pour ceux qui ont la foi et font de bonnes œuvres en ce qu'ils ont consommé (du vin et des gains des jeux de hasard avant leur prohibition) pourvu qu'ils soient pieux (en évitant les choses interdites après en avoir eu connaissance) et qu'ils croient (en acceptant leur prohibition) et qu'ils fassent de bonnes œuvres; puis qui (continuent) d'être pieux et de croire et qui (demeurent) pieux et bienfaisants. Car Allah aime les bienfaisants.

On those who believe and do deeds of righteousness there is no blame for what they ate (in the past), when they guard themselves from evil, and believe, and do deeds of righteousness,- (or) again, guard themselves from evil and believe,- (or) again, guard themselves from evil and do good. For Allah loveth those who do good.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَيَبْلُوَنَّكُمُ اللَّهُ بِشَىْءٍ مِّنَ الصَّيْدِ تَنَالُهُۥٓ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَرِمَاحُكُمْ لِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ مَن يَخَافُهُۥ بِالْغَيْبِ ۚ فَمَنِ اعْتَدَىٰ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَلَهُۥ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ[94]

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo layabluwannakumu Allahu bishayin mina alssaydi tanaluhu aydeekum warimahukum liyaAAlama Allahu man yakhafuhu bialghaybi famani iAAtada baAAda thalika falahu AAathabun aleemun

O les croyants! Allah va certainement vous éprouver par quelque gibier à la portée de vos mains et de vos lances. C'est pour qu'Allah sache celui qui Le craint en secret. Quiconque après cela transgresse aura un châtiment douloureux.

O ye who believe! Allah doth but make a trial of you in a little matter of game well within reach of game well within reach of your hands and your lances, that He may test who feareth him unseen: any who transgress thereafter, will have a grievous penalty.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَقْتُلُوا۟ الصَّيْدَ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ ۚ وَمَن قَتَلَهُۥ مِنكُم مُّتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَآءٌ مِّثْلُ مَا قَتَلَ مِنَ النَّعَمِ يَحْكُمُ بِهِۦ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ هَدْيًۢا بَٰلِغَ الْكَعْبَةِ أَوْ كَفَّٰرَةٌ طَعَامُ مَسَٰكِينَ أَوْ عَدْلُ ذَٰلِكَ صِيَامًا لِّيَذُوقَ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِۦ ۗ عَفَا اللَّهُ عَمَّا سَلَفَ ۚ وَمَنْ عَادَ فَيَنتَقِمُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ ذُو انتِقَامٍ[95]

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la taqtuloo alssayda waantum hurumun waman qatalahu minkum mutaAAammidan fajazaon mithlu ma qatala mina alnnaAAami yahkumu bihi thawa AAadlin minkum hadyan baligha alkaAAbati aw kaffaratun taAAamu masakeena aw AAadlu thalika siyaman liyathooqa wabala amrihi AAafa Allahu AAamma salafa waman AAada fayantaqimu Allahu minhu waAllahu AAazeezun thoo intiqamin

O les croyants! Ne tuez pas de gibier pendant que vous êtes en état d'Ihram. Quiconque parmi vous en tue délibérément, qu'il compense alors, soit par quelque bête de troupeau, semblable à ce qu'il a tué, d'après le jugement de deux personnes intègres parmi vous, et cela en offrande qu'il fera parvenir à (destination des pauvres de) la Ka'aba, ou bien par une expiation, en nourrissant des pauvres, ou par l'équivalent en jeûne. Cela afin qu'il goûte à la mauvaise conséquence de son acte. Allah a pardonné ce qui est passé; mais quiconque récidive, Allah le punira. Allah est Puissant et Détenteur du pouvoir de punir.

O ye who believe! Kill not game while in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb. If any of you doth so intentionally, the compensation is an offering, brought to the Ka'ba, of a domestic animal equivalent to the one he killed, as adjudged by two just men among you; or by way of atonement, the feeding of the indigent; or its equivalent in fasts: that he may taste of the penalty of his deed. Allah forgives what is past: for repetition Allah will exact from him the penalty. For Allah is Exalted, and Lord of Retribution.

أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهُۥ مَتَٰعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ ۖ وَحُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَرِّ مَا دُمْتُمْ حُرُمًا ۗ وَاتَّقُوا۟ اللَّهَ الَّذِىٓ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ[96]

Ohilla lakum saydu albahri wataAAamuhu mataAAan lakum walilssayyarati wahurrima AAalaykum saydu albarri ma dumtum huruman waittaqoo Allaha allathee ilayhi tuhsharoona

La chasse en mer vous est permise, et aussi d'en manger, pour votre jouissance et celle des voyageurs. Et vous est illicite la chasse à terre tant que vous êtes en état d'Ihram. Et craignez Allah vers qui vous serez rassemblés.

Lawful to you is the pursuit of water-game and its use for food,- for the benefit of yourselves and those who travel; but forbidden is the pursuit of land-game;- as long as ye are in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb. And fear Allah, to Whom ye shall be gathered back.

۞ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ الْكَعْبَةَ الْبَيْتَ الْحَرَامَ قِيَٰمًا لِّلنَّاسِ وَالشَّهْرَ الْحَرَامَ وَالْهَدْىَ وَالْقَلَٰٓئِدَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِتَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى السَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى الْأَرْضِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ[97]

JaAAala Allahu alkaAAbata albayta alharama qiyaman lilnnasi waalshshahra alharama waalhadya waalqalaida thalika litaAAlamoo anna Allaha yaAAlamu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi waanna Allaha bikulli shayin AAaleemun

Allah a institué la Ka'aba, la Maison sacrée, comme un lieu de rassemblement pour les gens. (Il a institué) le mois sacré, l'offrande (d'animaux,) et les guirlandes, afin que vous sachiez que vraiment Allah sait tout ce qui est dans les cieux et sur la terre; et que vraiment Allah est Omniscient.

Allah made the Ka'ba, the Sacred House, an asylum of security for men, as also the Sacred Months, the animals for offerings, and the garlands that mark them: That ye may know that Allah hath knowledge of what is in the heavens and on earth and that Allah is well acquainted with all things.

اعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ[98]

IAAlamoo anna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi waanna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun

Sachez qu'Allah est sévère en punition, mais aussi qu'Allah est Pardonneur et Miséricordieux.

Know ye that Allah is strict in punishment and that Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

مَّا عَلَى الرَّسُولِ إِلَّا الْبَلَٰغُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا تَكْتُمُونَ[99]

Ma AAala alrrasooli illa albalaghu waAllahu yaAAlamu ma tubdoona wama taktumoona

Il n'incombe au Messager que de transmettre (le message). Et Allah sait ce que vous divulguez tout comme ce que vous cachez.

The Messenger's duty is but to proclaim (the message). But Allah knoweth all that ye reveal and ye conceal.

قُل لَّا يَسْتَوِى الْخَبِيثُ وَالطَّيِّبُ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكَ كَثْرَةُ الْخَبِيثِ ۚ فَاتَّقُوا۟ اللَّهَ يَٰٓأُو۟لِى الْأَلْبَٰبِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ[100]

Qul la yastawee alkhabeethu waalttayyibu walaw aAAjabaka kathratu alkhabeethi faittaqoo Allaha ya olee alalbabi laAAallakum tuflihoona

Dis: «Le mauvais et le bon ne sont pas semblables, même si l'abondance du mal te séduit. Craignez Allah, donc, ô gens intelligents, afin que vous réussissiez.

Say: "Not equal are things that are bad and things that are good, even though the abundance of the bad may dazzle thee; so fear Allah, O ye that understand; that (so) ye may prosper."

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ عَنْ أَشْيَآءَ إِن تُبْدَ لَكُمْ تَسُؤْكُمْ وَإِن تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ عَنْهَا حِينَ يُنَزَّلُ الْقُرْءَانُ تُبْدَ لَكُمْ عَفَا اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ[101]

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tasaloo AAan ashyaa in tubda lakum tasukum wain tasaloo AAanha heena yunazzalu alquranu tubda lakum AAafa Allahu AAanha waAllahu ghafoorun haleemun

O les croyants! Ne posez pas de questions sur des choses qui, si elles vous étaient divulguées, vous mécontenteraient. Et si vous posez des questions à leur sujet, pendant que le Coran est révélé, elles vous seront divulguées. Allah vous a pardonné cela. Et Allah est Pardonneur et Indulgent.

O ye who believe! Ask not questions about things which, if made plain to you, may cause you trouble. But if ye ask about things when the Qur'an is being revealed, they will be made plain to you, Allah will forgive those: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Forbearing.

قَدْ سَأَلَهَا قَوْمٌ مِّن قَبْلِكُمْ ثُمَّ أَصْبَحُوا۟ بِهَا كَٰفِرِينَ[102]

Qad saalaha qawmun min qablikum thumma asbahoo biha kafireena

Un peuple avant vous avait posé des questions (pareilles) puis, devinrent de leur fait mécréants.

Some people before you did ask such questions, and on that account lost their faith.

مَا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ مِنۢ بَحِيرَةٍ وَلَا سَآئِبَةٍ وَلَا وَصِيلَةٍ وَلَا حَامٍ ۙ وَلَٰكِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ ۖ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ[103]

Ma jaAAala Allahu min baheeratin wala saibatin wala waseelatin wala hamin walakinna allatheena kafaroo yaftaroona AAala Allahi alkathiba waaktharuhum la yaAAqiloona

Allah n'a pas institué la Bahira, la Sâïba, la Wasîlani le Hâm. Mais ceux qui ont mécru ont inventé ce mensonge contre Allah, et la plupart d'entre eux ne raisonnent pas.

It was not Allah who instituted (superstitions like those of) a slit-ear she-camel, or a she-camel let loose for free pasture, or idol sacrifices for twin-births in animals, or stallion-camels freed from work: It is blasphemers who invent a lie against Allah; but most of them lack wisdom.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ مَآ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ وَإِلَى الرَّسُولِ قَالُوا۟ حَسْبُنَا مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَآ ۚ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ[104]

Waitha qeela lahum taAAalaw ila ma anzala Allahu waila alrrasooli qaloo hasbuna ma wajadna AAalayhi abaana awalaw kana abaohum la yaAAlamoona shayan wala yahtadoona

Et quand on leur dit: «Venez vers ce qu'Allah a fait descendre (la Révélation), et vers le Messager», ils disent: «Il nous suffit de ce sur quoi nous avons trouvé nos ancêtres.» Quoi! Même si leurs ancêtres ne savaient rien et n'étaient pas sur le bon chemin...?

When it is said to them: "Come to what Allah hath revealed; come to the Messenger": They say: "Enough for us are the ways we found our fathers following." what! even though their fathers were void of knowledge and guidance?

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۖ لَا يَضُرُّكُم مَّن ضَلَّ إِذَا اهْتَدَيْتُمْ ۚ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ[105]

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo AAalaykum anfusakum la yadurrukum man dalla itha ihtadaytum ila Allahi marjiAAukum jameeAAan fayunabbiokum bima kuntum taAAmaloona

O les croyants! Vous êtes responsables de vous-mêmes! Celui qui s'égare ne vous nuira point si vous vous avez pris la bonne voie. C'est Vers Allah que vous retournerez tous; alors Il vous informera de ce que vous faisiez.

O ye who believe! Guard your own souls: If ye follow (right) guidance, no hurt can come to you from those who stray. the goal of you all is to Allah: it is He that will show you the truth of all that ye do.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ شَهَٰدَةُ بَيْنِكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ حِينَ الْوَصِيَّةِ اثْنَانِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ أَوْ ءَاخَرَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ إِنْ أَنتُمْ ضَرَبْتُمْ فِى الْأَرْضِ فَأَصَٰبَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةُ الْمَوْتِ ۚ تَحْبِسُونَهُمَا مِنۢ بَعْدِ الصَّلَوٰةِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِاللَّهِ إِنِ ارْتَبْتُمْ لَا نَشْتَرِى بِهِۦ ثَمَنًا وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰ ۙ وَلَا نَكْتُمُ شَهَٰدَةَ اللَّهِ إِنَّآ إِذًا لَّمِنَ الْءَاثِمِينَ[106]

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo shahadatu baynikum itha hadara ahadakumu almawtu heena alwasiyyati ithnani thawa AAadlin minkum aw akharani min ghayrikum in antum darabtum fee alardi faasabatkum museebatu almawti tahbisoonahuma min baAAdi alssalati fayuqsimani biAllahi ini irtabtum la nashtaree bihi thamanan walaw kana tha qurba wala naktumu shahadata Allahi inna ithan lamina alathimeena

O les croyants! Quand la mort se présente à l'un de vous, le testament sera attesté par deux hommes intègres d'entre vous, ou deux autres, non des vôtres, si vous êtes en voyage dans le monde et que la mort vous frappe. Vous les retiendrez (les deux témoins), après la Sal?t, puis, si vous avez des doutes, vous les ferez jurer par Allah: «Nous ne faisons aucun commerce ou profit avec cela, même s'il s'agit d'un proche, et nous ne cacherons point le témoignage d'Allah. Sinon, nous serions du nombre des pécheurs».

O ye who believe! When death approaches any of you, (take) witnesses among yourselves when making bequests,- two just men of your own (brotherhood) or others from outside if ye are journeying through the earth, and the chance of death befalls you (thus). If ye doubt (their truth), detain them both after prayer, and let them both swear by Allah: "We wish not in this for any worldly gain, even though the (beneficiary) be our near relation: we shall hide not the evidence before Allah: if we do, then behold! the sin be upon us!"

فَإِنْ عُثِرَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنَّهُمَا اسْتَحَقَّآ إِثْمًا فَـَٔاخَرَانِ يَقُومَانِ مَقَامَهُمَا مِنَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَوْلَيَٰنِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِاللَّهِ لَشَهَٰدَتُنَآ أَحَقُّ مِن شَهَٰدَتِهِمَا وَمَا اعْتَدَيْنَآ إِنَّآ إِذًا لَّمِنَ الظَّٰلِمِينَ[107]

Fain AAuthira AAala annahuma istahaqqa ithman faakharani yaqoomani maqamahuma mina allatheena istahaqqa AAalayhimu alawlayani fayuqsimani biAllahi lashahadatuna ahaqqu min shahadatihima wama iAAtadayna inna ithan lamina alththalimeena

Si l'on découvre que ces deux témoins sont coupables de péché, deux autres plus intègres, parmi ceux auxquels le tort a été fait, prendront leur place et tous deux jureront par Allah: «En vérité, notre témoignage est plus juste que le témoignage de ces deux-là; et nous ne transgressons point. Sinon, nous serions certainement du nombre des injustes».

But if it gets known that these two were guilty of the sin (of perjury), let two others stand forth in their places,- nearest in kin from among those who claim a lawful right: let them swear by Allah: "We affirm that our witness is truer than that of those two, and that we have not trespassed (beyond the truth): if we did, behold! the wrong be upon us!"

ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتُوا۟ بِالشَّهَٰدَةِ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهَآ أَوْ يَخَافُوٓا۟ أَن تُرَدَّ أَيْمَٰنٌۢ بَعْدَ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ ۗ وَاتَّقُوا۟ اللَّهَ وَاسْمَعُوا۟ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الْفَٰسِقِينَ[108]

Thalika adna an yatoo bialshshahadati AAala wajhiha aw yakhafoo an turadda aymanun baAAda aymanihim waittaqoo Allaha waismaAAoo waAllahu la yahdee alqawma alfasiqeena

C'est le moyen le plus sûr pour les inciter à fournir le témoignage dans sa forme réelle; ou leur faire craindre de voir d'autres serments se substituer aux leurs. Et craignez Allah et écoutez. Allah ne guide pas les gens pervers.

That is most suitable: that they may give the evidence in its true nature and shape, or else they would fear that other oaths would be taken after their oaths. But fear Allah, and listen (to His counsel): for Allah guideth not a rebellious people:

۞ يَوْمَ يَجْمَعُ اللَّهُ الرُّسُلَ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَآ أُجِبْتُمْ ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَآ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّٰمُ الْغُيُوبِ[109]

Yawma yajmaAAu Allahu alrrusula fayaqoolu matha ojibtum qaloo la AAilma lana innaka anta AAallamu alghuyoobi

(Rappelle-toi) le jour où Allah rassemblera (tous) les messagers, et qu'Il dira: «Que vous a-t-on donné comme réponse?» Ils diront: «Nous n'avons aucun savoir: c'est Toi, vraiment, le grand connaisseur de tout ce qui est inconnu».

One day will Allah gather the messengers together, and ask: "What was the response ye received (from men to your teaching)?" They will say: "We have no knowledge: it is Thou Who knowest in full all that is hidden."

إِذْ قَالَ اللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ اذْكُرْ نِعْمَتِى عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَتِكَ إِذْ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ فِى الْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًا ۖ وَإِذْ عَلَّمْتُكَ الْكِتَٰبَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَالتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَالْإِنجِيلَ ۖ وَإِذْ تَخْلُقُ مِنَ الطِّينِ كَهَيْـَٔةِ الطَّيْرِ بِإِذْنِى فَتَنفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيْرًۢا بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَتُبْرِئُ الْأَكْمَهَ وَالْأَبْرَصَ بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَإِذْ تُخْرِجُ الْمَوْتَىٰ بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَإِذْ كَفَفْتُ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَنكَ إِذْ جِئْتَهُم بِالْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ[110]

Ith qala Allahu ya AAeesa ibna maryama othkur niAAmatee AAalayka waAAala walidatika ith ayyadtuka biroohi alqudusi tukallimu alnnasa fee almahdi wakahlan waith AAallamtuka alkitaba waalhikmata waalttawrata waalinjeela waith takhluqu mina altteeni kahayati alttayri biithnee fatanfukhu feeha fatakoonu tayran biithnee watubrio alakmaha waalabrasa biithnee waith tukhriju almawta biithnee waith kafaftu banee israeela AAanka ith jitahum bialbayyinati faqala allatheena kafaroo minhum in hatha illa sihrun mubeenun

Et quand Allah dira: «O Jésus, fils de Marie, rappelle-toi Mon bienfait sur toi et sur ta mère quand Je te fortifiais du Saint-Esprit. Au berceau tu parlais aux gens, tout comme en ton âge mûr. Je t'enseignais le Livre, la Sagesse, la Thora et l'Evangile! Tu fabriquais de l'argile comme une forme d'oiseau par Ma permission; puis tu soufflais dedans. Alors par Ma permission, elle devenait oiseau. Et tu guérissais par Ma permission, l'aveugle-né et le lépreux. Et par Ma permission, tu faisais revivre les morts. Je te protégeais contre les Enfants d'Israël pendant que tu leur apportais les preuves. Mais ceux d'entre eux qui ne croyaient pas dirent: «Ceci n'est que de la magie évidente».

Then will Allah say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel and behold! thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: 'This is nothing but evident magic.'

وَإِذْ أَوْحَيْتُ إِلَى الْحَوَارِيِّۦنَ أَنْ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِى وَبِرَسُولِى قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَاشْهَدْ بِأَنَّنَا مُسْلِمُونَ[111]

Waith awhaytu ila alhawariyyeena an aminoo bee wabirasoolee qaloo amanna waishhad biannana muslimoona

Et quand J'ai révélé aux Apôtres ceci: «Croyez en Moi et en Mon messager (Jésus)». Ils dirent: «Nous croyons; et atteste que nous sommes entièrement soumis».

"And behold! I inspired the disciples to have faith in Me and Mine Messenger: they said, 'We have faith, and do thou bear witness that we bow to Allah as Muslims'".

إِذْ قَالَ الْحَوَارِيُّونَ يَٰعِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ هَلْ يَسْتَطِيعُ رَبُّكَ أَن يُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا مَآئِدَةً مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ ۖ قَالَ اتَّقُوا۟ اللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ[112]

Ith qala alhawariyyoona ya AAeesa ibna maryama hal yastateeAAu rabbuka an yunazzila AAalayna maidatan mina alssamai qala ittaqoo Allaha in kuntum mumineena

Rappelle-toi le moment) où les Apôtres dirent: «O Jésus, fils de Marie, se peut-il que ton Seigneur fasse descendre sur nous du ciel une table servie?» Il leur dit: «Craignez plutôt Allah, si vous êtes croyants».

Behold! the disciples, said: "O Jesus the son of Mary! can thy Lord send down to us a table set (with viands) from heaven?" Said Jesus: "Fear Allah, if ye have faith."

قَالُوا۟ نُرِيدُ أَن نَّأْكُلَ مِنْهَا وَتَطْمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُنَا وَنَعْلَمَ أَن قَدْ صَدَقْتَنَا وَنَكُونَ عَلَيْهَا مِنَ الشَّٰهِدِينَ[113]

Qaloo nureedu an nakula minha watatmainna quloobuna wanaAAlama an qad sadaqtana wanakoona AAalayha mina alshshahideena

Ils dirent: «Nous voulons en manger, rassurer ainsi nos cœurs, savoir que tu nous as réellement dit la vérité et en être parmi les témoins».

They said: "We only wish to eat thereof and satisfy our hearts, and to know that thou hast indeed told us the truth; and that we ourselves may be witnesses to the miracle."

قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَآ أَنزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَآئِدَةً مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدًا لِّأَوَّلِنَا وَءَاخِرِنَا وَءَايَةً مِّنكَ ۖ وَارْزُقْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّٰزِقِينَ[114]

Qala AAeesa ibnu maryama allahumma rabbana anzil AAalayna maidatan mina alssamai takoonu lana AAeedan liawwalina waakhirina waayatan minka waorzuqna waanta khayru alrraziqeena

«O Allah, notre Seigneur, dit Jésus, fils de Marie, fais descendre du ciel sur nous une table servie qui soit une fête pour nous, pour le premier d'entre nous, comme pour le dernier, ainsi qu'un signe de Ta part. Nourris-nous: Tu es le meilleur des nourrisseurs.»

Said Jesus the son of Mary: "O Allah our Lord! Send us from heaven a table set (with viands), that there may be for us - for the first and the last of us - a solemn festival and a sign from thee; and provide for our sustenance, for thou art the best Sustainer (of our needs)."

قَالَ اللَّهُ إِنِّى مُنَزِّلُهَا عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَمَن يَكْفُرْ بَعْدُ مِنكُمْ فَإِنِّىٓ أُعَذِّبُهُۥ عَذَابًا لَّآ أُعَذِّبُهُۥٓ أَحَدًا مِّنَ الْعَٰلَمِينَ[115]

Qala Allahu innee munazziluha AAalaykum faman yakfur baAAdu minkum fainnee oAAaththibuhu AAathaban la oAAaththibuhu ahadan mina alAAalameena

«Oui, dit Allah, Je la ferai descendre sur vous. Mais ensuite, quiconque d'entre vous refuse de croire, Je le châtierai d'un châtiment dont Je ne châtierai personne d'autre dans l'univers.»

Allah said: "I will send it down unto you: But if any of you after that resisteth faith, I will punish him with a penalty such as I have not inflicted on any one among all the peoples."

وَإِذْ قَالَ اللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ ءَأَنتَ قُلْتَ لِلنَّاسِ اتَّخِذُونِى وَأُمِّىَ إِلَٰهَيْنِ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ ۖ قَالَ سُبْحَٰنَكَ مَا يَكُونُ لِىٓ أَنْ أَقُولَ مَا لَيْسَ لِى بِحَقٍّ ۚ إِن كُنتُ قُلْتُهُۥ فَقَدْ عَلِمْتَهُۥ ۚ تَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِى وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِكَ ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّٰمُ الْغُيُوبِ[116]

Waith qala Allahu ya AAeesa ibna maryama aanta qulta lilnnasi ittakhithoonee waommiya ilahayni min dooni Allahi qala subhanaka ma yakoonu lee an aqoola ma laysa lee bihaqqin in kuntu qultuhu faqad AAalimtahu taAAlamu ma fee nafsee wala aAAlamu ma fee nafsika innaka anta AAallamu alghuyoobi

(Rappelle-leur) le moment où Allah dira: «O Jésus, fils de Marie, est-ce toi qui as dit aux gens: «Prenez-moi, ainsi que ma mère, pour deux divinités en dehors d'Allah?» Il dira: «Gloire et pureté à Toi! Il ne m'appartient pas de déclarer ce que je n'ai pas le droit de dire! Si je l'avais dit, Tu l'aurais su, certes. Tu sais ce qu'il y a en moi, et je ne sais pas ce qu'il y a en Toi. Tu es, en vérité, le grand connaisseur de tout ce qui est inconnu.

And behold! Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah'?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.

مَا قُلْتُ لَهُمْ إِلَّا مَآ أَمَرْتَنِى بِهِۦٓ أَنِ اعْبُدُوا۟ اللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبَّكُمْ ۚ وَكُنتُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًا مَّا دُمْتُ فِيهِمْ ۖ فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَنِى كُنتَ أَنتَ الرَّقِيبَ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَأَنتَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدٌ[117]

Ma qultu lahum illa ma amartanee bihi ani oAAbudoo Allaha rabbee warabbakum wakuntu AAalayhim shaheedan ma dumtu feehim falamma tawaffaytanee kunta anta alrraqeeba AAalayhim waanta AAala kulli shayin shaheedun

Je ne leur ai dit que ce que Tu m'avais commandé, (à savoir): «Adorez Allah, mon Seigneur et votre Seigneur». Et je fus témoin contre eux aussi longtemps que je fus parmi eux. Puis quand Tu m'as rappelé, c'est Toi qui fus leur observateur attentif. Et Tu es témoin de toute chose.

"Never said I to them aught except what Thou didst command me to say, to wit, 'worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord'; and I was a witness over them whilst I dwelt amongst them; when Thou didst take me up Thou wast the Watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things.

إِن تُعَذِّبْهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ عِبَادُكَ ۖ وَإِن تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ فَإِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ[118]

In tuAAaththibhum fainnahum AAibaduka wain taghfir lahum fainnaka anta alAAazeezu alhakeemu

Si Tu les châties, ils sont Tes serviteurs. Et si Tu leur pardonnes, c'est Toi le Puissant, le Sage».

"If Thou dost punish them, they are Thy servant: If Thou dost forgive them, Thou art the Exalted in power, the Wise."

قَالَ اللَّهُ هَٰذَا يَوْمُ يَنفَعُ الصَّٰدِقِينَ صِدْقُهُمْ ۚ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتٌ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا ۚ رَّضِىَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ[119]

Qala Allahu hatha yawmu yanfaAAu alssadiqeena sidquhum lahum jannatun tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha abadan radiya Allahu AAanhum waradoo AAanhu thalika alfawzu alAAatheemu

Allah dira: «Voilà le jour où leur véracité va profiter aux véridiques: ils auront des Jardins sous lesquels coulent les ruisseaux pour y demeurer éternellement.» Allah les a agréés et eux L'ont agréé. Voilà l'énorme succès.

Allah will say: "This is a day on which the truthful will profit from their truth: theirs are gardens, with rivers flowing beneath,- their eternal Home: Allah well-pleased with them, and they with Allah: That is the great salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires).

لِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا فِيهِنَّ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌۢ[120]

Lillahi mulku alssamawati waalardi wama feehinna wahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

A Allah seul appartient le royaume des cieux, de la terre et de ce qu'ils renferment. Et Il est Omnipotent.

To Allah doth belong the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is therein, and it is He Who hath power over all things.
