بِّسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ[1]

Inna anzalnahu fee laylati alqadri

Nous l'avons certes, fait descendre (le Coran) pendant la nuit d'Al-Qadr.

We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power:

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ[2]

Wama adraka ma laylatu alqadri

Et qui te dira ce qu'est la nuit d'Al-Qadr?

And what will explain to thee what the night of power is?

لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ[3]

Laylatu alqadri khayrun min alfi shahrin

La nuit d'Al-Qadr est meilleure que mille mois.

The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.

تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ[4]

Tanazzalu almalaikatu waalrroohu feeha biithni rabbihim min kulli amrin

Durant celle-ci descendent les Anges ainsi que l'Esprit, par permission de leur Seigneur pour tout ordre.

Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah's permission, on every errand:

سَلَٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ[5]

Salamun hiya hatta matlaAAi alfajri

Elle est paix et salut jusqu'à l'apparition de l'aube.

Peace!... This until the rise of morn!
