بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَالْعَصْرِ[1]

WaalAAasri

Par le Temps!

By (the Token of) Time (through the ages),

إِنَّ الْإِنسَٰنَ لَفِى خُسْرٍ[2]

Inna alinsana lafee khusrin

L'homme est certes, en perdition,

Verily Man is in loss,

إِلَّا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ الصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِالصَّبْرِ[3]

Illa allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati watawasaw bialhaqqi watawasaw bialssabri

sauf ceux qui croient et accomplissent les bonnes œuvres, s'enjoignent mutuellement la vérité et s'enjoignent mutuellement l'endurance.

Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy.
