بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ لِإِيلَٰفِ قُرَيْشٍ[1]

Lieelafi qurayshin

A cause du pacte des Coraïch,

For the covenants (of security and safeguard enjoyed) by the Quraish,

إِۦلَٰفِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ الشِّتَآءِ وَالصَّيْفِ[2]

Eelafihim rihlata alshshitai waalssayfi

De leur pacte [concernant] les voyages d'hiver et d'été.

Their covenants (covering) journeys by winter and summer,-

فَلْيَعْبُدُوا۟ رَبَّ هَٰذَا الْبَيْتِ[3]

FalyaAAbudoo rabba hatha albayti

Qu'ils adorent donc le Seigneur de cette Maison [la Ka'ba],

Let them adore the Lord of this House,

الَّذِىٓ أَطْعَمَهُم مِّن جُوعٍ وَءَامَنَهُم مِّنْ خَوْفٍۭ[4]

Allathee atAAamahum min jooAAin waamanahum min khawfin

qui les a nourris contre la faim et rassurés de la crainte!

Who provides them with food against hunger, and with security against fear (of danger).
