بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ قُلْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا الْكَٰفِرُونَ[1]

Qul ya ayyuha alkafiroona

Dis: «O vous les infidèles!

Say: O ye that reject Faith!

لَآ أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ[2]

La aAAbudu ma taAAbudoona

Je n'adore pas ce que vous adorez.

I worship not that which ye worship,

وَلَآ أَنتُمْ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ[3]

Wala antum AAabidoona ma aAAbudu

Et vous n'êtes pas adorateurs de ce que j'adore.

Nor will ye worship that which I worship.

وَلَآ أَنَا۠ عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدتُّمْ[4]

Wala ana AAabidun ma AAabadtum

Je ne suis pas adorateur de ce que vous adorez.

And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship,

وَلَآ أَنتُمْ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ[5]

Wala antum AAabidoona ma aAAbudu

Et vous n'êtes pas adorateurs de ce que j'adore.

Nor will ye worship that which I worship.

لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِىَ دِينِ[6]

Lakum deenukum waliya deeni

A vous votre religion, et à moi ma religion».

To you be your Way, and to me mine.
