Non-Residential Mobile Trade:
Various sorts of training in
Livestock (7 days long non-residential training); training in
Pisciculture (7 days long non-residential training); training in
Agriculture (7 days long non-residential training); training in
small & cottage industry (15 days & 7 days long non-residential
training respectively).
The mobile non-residential trainings on
various trades are held in different clubs and in educational
institutions on the basis of local need. It does not require to
be paid admission-fees or course-fees for this training. For
mobile non-residential training stated above, the interested
trainees may communicate with the Assistant Director/ Youth
Development Officers at Upazila level.

Credit Program for
Unemployed:
The trained youth by the Department of Youth
Development are provided loan for undertaking self-employment projects.
Since inception of credit program of and until March 2012 a total amount
to the tune of taka 166 crores91 lacs and 51 thousands have been
disbursed as loan and the present amount of credit fund with accumulated
service charge Tk. 298,32.27 lac. At present, the loan is provided the
rate of 10.6% at demising rate. There are two types of loan of DYD.
(a) Single loan and this loan is provided against one
loanee who is trained by DYD on different trades provided by DYD. The
total amount of single loan is Tk-10,000/- to 50,000/-
(b) The Group loan is provided to the members of a
group. Each group member can get Tk-7,000/- in first installment and in
the 5th or last installment one-group member receives Tk-11,000/-. But
each of the successful group-members is entitled to get Tk-30,000/- as
enterprise loan. This enterprise is to pay by installments.

Grant in AID for
non-government youth organizations:
To make participation of the non-government youth
organizations in socio-economic development activities, the Department
of Youth Development provides grant in aid to the youth organizations
every year. Since the inception of the Department and until June 2011 an
amount to the tune of taka 103.95 lacs was given to 6,864 youth
organizations.

Enlistment of youth organizations:
The non-government youth
organizations can play vital role in national development process. the
Department of Youth Development encourages the youth organizations to
take part in nation building activities. To make involvement of youth
organizations in socio-economic development activities, the Department
of Youth Development starts enlistment of youth organizations with the
Department from 1995-96 and until 2011 a total number of 13895 youth
organizations were enlisted. The National Youth Policy was announced by
the Government in 2003 and in National Youth Policy the registration
authority was given to the Department of Youth Development but it is yet
to be implemented.
For enlistment of youth organizations with
Department of Youth Development, the interested youth organizations are
requested to contact with District and Upazila Officers, Department of
Youth Development.

SAARC Youth Award:
SAARC Youth Award was in operation
from 1997 by SAARC Secretariat for the youth people who can show
outstanding performance in the field of socio-economic development
activities. Since its operation two young people was awarded SAARC Youth
Award from Bangladesh in the field of community development and
photography.
The successful youth who are interested to complete in the SAARC youth
campaign are requested to contact with their respective upazilla or
district offices of Department of Youth Development or Director,
Implementation Department of Youth Development, 108, Motijheel C/A,
Dhaka.

Commonwealth Youth Award:
The commonwealth youth award is
provided by the Commonwealth Youth Secretariat to the successful youths,
who can show outstanding performances in the field of youth work,
community development, social development particularly in gainful
employment or self-employment. Since its operation, a total number of 19
Bangladeshi youth people were awarded Commonwealth Youth Award.
The successful youths who are interested to compete in the Commonwealth
Youth Award campaign are advised to contact with their respective
upazilla or district offices of Department of Youth Development or
Director, Implementation, Department of Youth Development, 108,
Motijheel C/A, Dhaka .

National Youth Award:
The Government of the People's
Republic of Bangladesh declares 1 st November every year as National
Youth Day. During observance of the day, the successful self-employed
youth who are credited to have earned more from her/ his self-employment
project provided youth award. Since its operation period, 1986 and until
2011 a total number of 285 successful young women and men are awarded
National Youth Prize.
The successful self-employed youths who are
trained from Department of Youth Development are advised to contact with
the upazilla or district offices of DYD to compete in the National Youth
Award competition.
