This real story took place during Halloween of 2009. A friend, his 2 oldest sisters, his cousin, and myself were bored so we decided to go see the old school building. It was said to be haunted by a girl who was shot there during a school play that took place prior to 1950. We wanted to go see if it was true and drove up there. We then entered in the west door and walked down the main hall around the gym. It gets colder all of a sudden by the east gym door so we exit out the east side of the building. 10 feet from the door we turn around and a pale figure of a young teenager was leaning against the east gym door. The friend's cousin and the two sisters turned around and said they saw a girl and ran off, my friend and I turn, thinking it was a joke, but to our surprise we did see a girl she was of medium height, about 5 feet 4 inches, and wore a pale pink blouse and a bluish skirt. We ran to the car and drove off, and when we looked through the North door the same girl was leaning against the door and looking through at us. People may think we are lying but the four of us saw the spirit in the exact same place doing the exact same thing. Our night didn't stop there, being smart, we then decided to go the the graveyard later. But that is another story. |

Halloween has always been my favorite part of the year. You get to dress up as gory, spooky beings and get candy. What's not to love? That having been said, my friends and I have continued the tradition of 'trick or treating' long after our little kid years. Though some frowned upon it, we thought it was one of the funniest things in the world to do. Living in a small town does that to you. It was last Halloween that things went from playful to dangerous. Before I continue, however, I just want to say that what happened was because of our own stupidity. It was our fault, plain and simple. So don't go and blame it on the religion. My two friends, whom I'll call friend A, and friend B, and I had just discovered the religion Wicca a few weeks before. Friend B's mother was Wiccan, and had let us borrow a few books to read up on since we were curious about it. It was around midnight, and we had just gotten back from commandeering my mother's car to take a visit to the cemetery that lies a few miles out of town. We didn't go to ruin any graves, or pitiful things like that, we'd gone to simply admire the stones and just be away from everything. None of us had gotten out of the car, being as when one of us is freaked out, the panic spreads like a disease. But as I was saying, we were in my trailer twirling around our glow sticks when we caught sight of the books on Wicca, which B had brought over. Friend A, who is hyper sensitive and knew more about Wicca than B and me, thought we should cast a circle. For those of you who have never practiced or studied Wicca, it means to cast spells or thank the deities and stuff like that. Being a newbie, I thought it'd be okay. So we gathered the candles and sat in a circle on my living room floor. We went through the process of 'purifying' the circle, and said words that A suggested. Friend A still won't say what those words meant, but I know enough that they weren't good. It was a few nights later that I learned never to be that reckless again. I had most of the lights on in the trailer, and I was walking to the couch so I could eat supper. My mom's room is to the right of the living room, and so I had a pretty good view as the door to her room slammed shut with force. I could hear my heart pounding in my ears, it felt like it might jump straight out of my chest. I set my plate down and sat on the couch, curling myself in a ball and looking at the now closed door. I thought it had been closed, but I was wrong, because the door was slightly ajar. A pale white face, with empty eye sockets peeked through the slit in the door, looking straight my way. At first I thought I was just imagining things. I hoped I was imagining things. I looked away, and opened up my laptop, which had been on sleep mode the entire time, and messaged one of my friends that lives a couple blocks away, asking if I could stay the night. After she said yes, I closed down the computer. That's when I began to hear voices, both male and female. They sounded right next to me and far away at the same time. I couldn't decipher what they were saying; they were speaking in a different language. So I left everything on in the house and ran out of there as fast as I could. The next night, friend A and the one I'd stayed with (friend C) came to my house with me so I could get more clothes to wear for school. We were sitting in the living room on the couch when friend C's phone went off, saying that I'd texted her. She asked if I had texted her, but I told her no, and showed her that my phone had been in my pocket the whole time. Her face went pale, and when she showed me the text is when we got the hell out of my house. The text had read: "Do you hear the voices too?" A couple days later we went back again at night. This time it was only Friend A and me. I was sitting in the chair adjacent to the couch, which is what Friend A was sitting on, staring at my mom's room. The door was open so I could actually see inside of it. I was pretty sure I was stuck in psychological hell when I saw a black shadowy figure peek out from behind the door frame. It looked like it was waving at me. Hating to be afraid, and being the dummy I am, I glared at it. I can't remember if it had eyes or not, and for that I'm glad. While the one by the door was still looking at me, I'm sure it was looking at me; another figure began crawling up the wall in my mom's room and then onto the ceiling, like it was showing off. Friend A asked what I was glaring at, but for a few seconds I couldn't say anything. I couldn't look away from those shadowy figures. I was finally able to tell her, and we promptly got away. On the way to friend C's house, I would constantly see black figures peek out from behind trees. Some would even jump out and then back behind the trees, like they were playing a game. School was hell the next day. I kept drawing the black figures, and I couldn't focus. My mom had been at her boyfriends the whole time this was happening and so I told her what was happening. She went in her room and prayed. Nothing's bothered me since, but now I hardly ever go into her room especially at night. I've had paranormal encounters before, but never again will I be afraid as I was at that time. Any comments, opinions, and feedback are welcomed with open arms. |

My mother, sister, nephew and I stopped on the side of the road, which happened to be at a family cemetery, so my mom could turn off her cell phone. This was on halloween night. My 2 year old nephew looked up at the grave yard and said "Nanny, there's three babies" and starts to open the car door. My mom asked him where and he pointed over toward a couple grave stones. He then started to motion for them to come to where he was, and said "come here babies lets play". Well, I was starting to get a little freaked out needless to say, but what really caused the hair to stand up on the back of my neck is when he looked at us and said "over there", and pointed straight to my grandmother's grave. Out of the blue, he said the nickname "PJ" (which is my brother, my nephew's daddy). My grandmother used to always call my brother PJ, never have we ever called him that and no way could that child have heard it anywhere, because no one ever calls my brother that but my grandma, and she passed away. At that moment my mother was like "Daylan, where did you hear that name" and he said her. He pointed at her grave and then said "I guess thats my daddy!". I burst out in tears and I know deep down in my heart, that child saw something that we couldn't. |

During Halloween, I went to a friend's house to spend the night along with 4 other people. In total, there was five of us that were outside after dark when we were done trick-or-treating (we just wanted free candy). Well, we made a haunted house for my friend's, who I will call H, sister. When we were done, we were playing on her play set/ swing set. The play set has a fort-type thing with a slide and under the fort is a little sand pit, next to the sand pit is a swing set and over the swing set is a tunnel. Well, we were all on the ground, just sitting on the swing (there were two swings and one bar thing) and all of a sudden, we hear rustling up in the fort part up next to us. Well, we said "Cut it out Gene," and the rustling stopped. Then, we found out that Gene (not real name, made up for privacy) was INSIDE the house. We got scared, so we ran into the house shrieking. When we calmed down, we decided to go on line to find out a way to do our own little paranormal investigation. When we downloaded a ghost radar on H's little sister's iPod touch and we used my friend D's iPod to record our session. We went outside on H's porch and started speaking to whatever was out there. We heard nothing but on the radar, it kept picking up activity. When we played back the session, we heard a high-pitched little girl's giggle that sounded like it was coming from my direction, but no one had that kind of giggle. We listened through the rest of the tape with nothing else, but that giggle creeps me out all the time. I am wondering though, does anyone have tips on how to do a better, and remember we are teenagers, not professionals, paranormal investigation to gather more information on the ghost. Remember, we don't have much money but we do have a camera, 3 iPod touch's (two are the ones with cameras), and we have limited funds. Please help as we are wondering what is in H's backyard? |

The night of Halloween my sister and I thought is would be fun to mess with the Ouija Board. What a bad idea. As the board was glowing green, our fingers moved across to different letters to spell freighting words. We were talking to a little boy, maybe 7 or 8 years old. The only sentence that made sense was please help. The hair on the back of my neck was standing up. I have never been so scared in my entire life. After we said our goodbyes, my sister and I decided to go to bed. It took a very long to fall asleep. Those words kept playing over and over again in my head. I finally dosed off an hour later. Only a few hours later I was awaked by a terrible nightmare. Drenched in sweat and shaking I crept down the hallway trying not to wake my parents up. Down the long, dark hallway, I went to get some water The kitchen was down stairs rear the den and kind of isolated from the other room in the house. The water was ice cold and refreshing. As I was putting my glass in the sink, I heard a muffled laugh. I looked at the clock and I showed 1:00 in the morning. I found it to be very strange and uneasy. The voice that I heard sounded young. Probably my little sister could be up or sleep talking. I walked down towards her room, opened the squeaky door and found everything as normal as can be. Christy was sound asleep in her bed. It must have been all in my head. I closed her door and headed back upstairs. It was a chilly night so I thought the heat could be turned up a few degrease. When I took that first step in the living room, my heart stopped right then and there leaning against the door frame was something that I never seen in my life. It was a very dark figure. It was the boy. He was small, dressed in raggedy clothes and also a hat. Then he smiled. I closed my eyes, I couldn't breath, I was in shock. When I opened them again he was gone. My heart was racing and my breathing was rapid. What just happened? Well I know where the laughing came from and when I told my mom and sister the next morning, they were speechless. Since that night I never saw him again. How did he die? Why was he here? Could I really help him? All questions I wish I could find answers to. Still to this day I get Goosebumps even thinking about it. |

I felt compelled to write this tonight, on Halloween. This is a collection of strange occurrences at a house I grew up in. Since this happened so long ago, some of the details may be a little left out, but I will try to keep everything together. The house where these events happened was our first real house. My mom, sister and I moved out to MS in 1979 with my stepfather. He and my mom got married the following year in June. When I was a young child of maybe eight or nine, my parents would say that I would sleepwalk. My stepfather (who I called daddy), would be the one to put me back in bed. They would say that my eyes would be open and rolled back in my head and I was making weird noises and my arms flailing around. I do not recall this of course. I can recall numerous nosebleeds though and have no idea why I mentioned that but maybe the nosebleeds are relevant to what happened to me. Another time, I could see and hear my mattress breathing. I actually saw my mattress rise and fall. I ran out of my room so fast to tell whoever was awake what had happened. Of course it was swept under the rug. Another time when my grandparents came to visit, I had an awful fright of a girl with dark pigtails was dangling them through the air vent that was on the ceiling of my bedroom. I felt as if she was trying to scare me and told this to my grandmother. She agreed with me. She recited the Lord's Prayer with me and told me if I saw this again, to recite the prayer again until I wasn't scared anymore. Well that never happened again as far as I can tell. This final fright had me move my bedroom to my sister's bedroom. I saw these glowing sharp fingers and fingernails come out of the closet and wrap around the door of my closet! That was it! I had to get out of this room! I slept in my sisters bedroom for a long time, and soon moved out of that room due to mosquitos that lived in the bushes that where in front of the house. I liked to sleep with the windows open. I might add that the nosebleeds stopped after I moved out of my original bedroom. I also had what I think was a dream, but I was aware of things that I was doing. I dreamt that I was outside my house at the front door with the screen door handle in my hand like I was going in to the house. I was staring at this huge orange ball of light that I thought was the sun, but in my dream, the sun was already up and as I was looking right at this I surmised that it was not the sun, because my eyes would be hurt. I suddenly remembered that my family does not use the front door because of the mosquitos and that made me feel entirely put out that I was left at the front door of my home. The orange ball was gone as I looked back up in the sky where I had seen this thing. I then laughed to myself and went round to the back door and let myself in. I kind of told my mom about it and she had nothing to say about it. We never talked about it again. The doorbell would, at odd hours of the day and night, ring by itself. My stepfather, who is a jack of all trades so to speak, checked the wiring and everything was fine. No shorts. When making a garden in which to grow things, my stepfather and I discovered a couple of arrowheads. One was made from stone, and another was made from flint. I wish I still had those arrowheads. The house was located near an unknown creek in Hattiesburg, MS. There was a cemetery across the main road, Country Club Rd. And behind that was a railroad track that is still in use to this day. My parents sold the house after I graduated high school and moved to the country on forty acres. They have built a huge, over 9000 square foot home on the land. My toys that needed batteries would suddenly come on and be active with no batteries in them. I would have 'crises' up until I was 13. I have a variant of Sickle Cell disease. I'm slightly asthmatic due to my frequent bouts of pneumonia. I now live at a really high elevation, and don't have many breathing problems. Just a lot of anxiety. But who is not anxious these days? My grandfather passed away in 1988. I think it was three days after his death, that I had a dream about him. I dreamt that he was in the kitchen leaning over the sink looking out the window that faced the Baptist church next door. It was frightening to see him there knowing he was dead and leaning over the sink. You don't normally lean over the sink to look out at the church. He had this look on his face like, 'Why are you staring at me like that?' I was terrified and was creeping along the counter to get past him and I think he knew that. Then I believe that was the end of my dream. I felt reassured by relatives afterwards that he was saying goodbye in a weird kind of way. My grandfather and I were very close, and he called me his 'Little Shadow'. I still haven't had any visitation dreams of my aunt who passed in 1986 yet. When I reached 11 years that is when my womanhood came. I started having really bizarre dreams of not being able to cross the street like normal, like my legs wouldn't work. I also dreamt of a man and could only see from this upper lip to his chin. He would kiss me and tell me, 'Don't forget the premise.' It is a dream that would haunt me until in 1998. I went numb from the waist down after being treated for a severe kidney infection. My legs still give me problems even though I am able to walk and drive a car now. A couple of months before, I went deaf in my left ear. The auditory nerve died and is not coming back. My leg pain is a constant and neurologists cannot figure out why my legs hurt the way they do and why they tingle like mad from my butt down to my ankles. My toes are still curled a bit and shoes don't fit like they used to. I have no forward balance. It is frustrating, because I loved to go roller skating. I did however wear Doc Martins when I was relearning how to walk again. This I did on my own. I never went to a hospital to get treatment for my immobility. I don't run, and if I do, it feels very awkward. I had moved from my parents' home and was kind of living on my own at this time. The 'premise guy' I believed to be 'Sam' (his name has been changed to protect his identity). He adamantly denies being the guy, but deep down I think he knows he is. Ten years later, we are back in contact with each other, and I still have very deep feelings for him. I was dating a man named 'Rich' (his name as also been changed). He lived in Renton, WA and his place was near some train tracks. I would hear the train coming, and it would remind me of my childhood home. It was comforting in a way, being somewhere new by myself. I told my then boyfriend about this he thought it was very cool. He was my best playmate. We went to bed and I had a dream about my grandmother! She had passed soon after my grandfather had passed sometime in 1990. Well in the dream, my boyfriend was with me, and she was looking at him like, 'Who are you and what are you doing in my house?' (I frequently visit my grandparents' house, in my dreams, if I feel insecure sometimes.) My grandmother had dropped three dimes and was trying to pick them up but couldn't quite get them, then I offered to pick them up for her, and that was the end of the dream. I have had many dreams about things to come before they actually happened. Take 9-11 for one. I dreamt of that. In my dream the towers where burning. There was chaos everywhere and the dream didn't quite make sense, and I did keep this dream in particular to myself. When that day came round and I saw the destruction on TV. I was floored! My grandfather, who was an architectural engineer, would have the plans for the twin towers on his drafting desk. I went back in my mind to when my grandfather was talking about when the towers where built, that a state of the art sprinkler system had to be installed to cool down the steel infrastructure. I could remember as a little girl sitting on his lap in his drawing room and he would tell me things about all the stuff he had designed. All I could think of was, 'I hope everyone gets out. I hope everyone gets out.' Well, we all know not everyone got out. Well that is my tale and I hope that I haven't freaked everyone out. I don't have 'premise' or 'burning tower' dreams anymore. Nor do I have dreams about my decreased mobility. I think because all of these events have transpired. |

I am here to share a short encounter of what happened since Halloween night. This might sound confusing so please bear with me. I am a "coming home" Wiccan, meaning I am new to the religion. Long story as to why I changed but I won't get into that. I met with a local coven who was having classes on the craft. To further explain this, in covens, which is nothing Satanic and nothing to be scared of or looked down on, in order to join and to be a serious member, you usually have to do a few classes and some public events, such as Samhein [oct 31] and Yule [dec 21]. Well I am in the process of doing this. The class was held at an older members home in the middle of the woods, and when I say middle of the woods it was just a road and a whole lot of trees. Of course the first time I was going there I was terrified, especially because I was isolated but I found my way and went into the class. After having a lovely evening I bid them farewell and got into my car. I turn out of the driveway and I see a shadow in front of my car. I instantly took it as I am just imagining things because I am freaked out of the surroundings. As I continue down the road I see something run into the road and I slam on my freaking breaks so hard the ABS system light turns on. After stopping I look up and nothing is there, no one is around, just the woods. I look behind me and nothing is there, I didn't run over anything. It looked like a dog of some sort to be honest but since it was night time and my high beams can only light so much, I honestly have no idea. Another incident, which I am sure is unrelated to the first, was the same night when I came back home and was changing into my pajamas for the evening, my hair on the left side of my face blew in front of me. The AC is not on, as it is fall/winter time now, and no one was by me. My boyfriends mom was fast asleep and my boyfriend and his brother were not home. I look around and not even the dog is awake. I was freaked out so I change and run into the room, under the covers, and try to close my eyes. Obviously wide awake I just lay there for a while and try to rest. I am not sure how long I was laying there but I hear this distinct whisper in my ear saying "Hello." I flipping freaked out and called my boyfriend, telling him to come home. I have NO explanation for the hello. I was not asleep, it was a male whisper, and the only other person with me in the house was a female. And the dog though he is male, cannot say hello. |
