Apps are small programs or pieces of software that run on mobile devices providing information and services. Mobile devices include SmartPhones (eg Apple iPhone,Samsung Galaxy), Tablets (eg Apple iPad, Google Nexus) and hybrids of both.

WebApps are websites that run on mobile devices. These are accessed through a WebBrowser on a mobile device (eg Safari, Chrome, or Internet Explorer). WebApps sometimes have an Icon on the Home Screen and often are linked to by a favorite stored on the device.
WebApps require that you are connected to the internet, and do not require updates.

Native Apps are Apps downloaded from an App Store. The App Stores include Apple iTunes, Android Google Play, Blackberry World, and Microsofts Windows 8 and RT Store and Windows Phone Store.
Native Apps require you are connected to the internet to download from an App Store but once they are installed they do not require the internet.

App Stores are locations on the internet that host native apps. To access an App Store you use an App or WebBrowser on your mobile device to browse and search for Apps and when you have made a selection to download and install an App. Examples of Apps to access an App store are Apples iTunes or Androids Google Play.
As an example use of an App Store to access MHApps set of Apps you would open for instance iTunes and then search for "mhapps" and then select an App eg Detect and install to your device.
