Minecraft Biomes
Biomes are generally locations in mine craft with unique properties, like
woodlands, oceans or tundra’s. Each and every biome can look completely
different from the other; however some biomes also provide special features, like
sector specific mobs or weather patterns not found in the others.
Biomes also determine the color of the sky, water, grass, vines and leaves, though
taking those grass and leaf blocks out of the biome will simply change them to the
colors of whatever biome they’re placed in.
When the edges of biomes connect, the colors of grass and water slowly changes
as well. This transformation does not occur steadily on foliage therefore trees
could have a couple of separately colored halves when they’re on the fringe of a
biome. Each and every biome may also have one or even more points of interest,
including waterways, lava, or dungeons.
Desert
Large dunes and broad areas of fine sand comprise most of this biome. About four
blocks below the sand you will uncover sand stone.
Lifeless shrubs and cacti are distributed moderately within the desert as well as
sugar cane is found growing alongside pools of water.
You’ll have a great chance to locate an NPC village within this biome. Desert Wells
can also be found specifically in this biome and although they are able to spawn
alongside a town, they're not part of it.
