I have lived in a very haunted house my entire life. I see apparitions, hear disembodied voices and footsteps and witness poltergeist activity all the time. And it's not just me, my friends and family witness it too. Some things I only see or hear once or twice but there are several spirits that I see all the time. One of those is what I call the Hat Man. The first time I saw him, I was about three or four years old. My parents had gone away and left me with a babysitter. The babysitter didn't watch me very well and I was able to sneak into a storage room that my parents had always told me not to go in. While I was in there, I got the sense that someone was standing behind me and that they were angry. I turned around and saw a tall black figure standing over me. He had no features except for a top hat and a long trench coat. I screamed and ran out of the room. After that experience, I would always see him peeking around corners at me only to disappear. For a while, I stopped seeing him. Until I was in about first grade. I was sitting in the living room on the couch by myself when I heard a loud crash in the kitchen. I went to investigate and found nothing there. I shrugged and went back into the living room to see him walk across the living room and into the hallway. As you can imagine, I screamed. The last time I saw him, I was about 9 or 10. I was walking with my little brother into his room. His room is what used to be the storage room where I first saw hat man. I opened the door and we both saw hat man sitting on my brothers bed. My brother said "Man." and pointed while I just stood there in shock. Immediately, hat man sprung up and started running toward us. I screamed, picked my brother up and ran from the room. I haven't seen him since except for occasionally out of the corner of my eye. But I feel his presence all the time and I don't like it. After doing some research, I have discovered that tons of people see him through out the whole world. It's weird. I don't know what he is. |

One night out of the blue I had an urge to call my mom, the words "Call your mom" kept popping up in my thoughts. This was not a regular thing since my mom and I had a falling out some time earlier that year (we talk everyday just about now). So I picked up my sister-in-law's house phone and called her. She said, "baby I have some bad news. Your grandpa is in the hospital; and the doctors are saying he may not make it past this week". So I asked her what happened and what was going on with him. She tells me, "the doctors found bacteria all throughout his body and its already shut down most of his organs". So I tell her I will call her back. When I hang up I immediately start with prayer and I asked the good Lord to take my grandpa back home with him so he won't be in any more pain. Because I kept feeling that he was. So after I finish praying I call my mom back and ask her details. She said my grandpa is paralyzed and can't move anything and he keeps telling them he wants pain medicine. Two days later I was at work cleaning tables when I started to walk towards the back and smelled my grandpa's cologne. It stopped me in my tracks. I stood there and breathed in the scent because I knew it would be the last time I would smell it. I kept envisioning him standing around me in a cloud and telling me he's ok and he'll be back. So I say out loud, "Goodbye grandpa, I love you and I will talk to you later". When I clocked out I called my mom and she confirmed he had passed away that morning at the hospital. He still visits from time to time and its always a warm comfortable and cologne packed experience. |

I've had paranormal experiences on and off all my life but these 2 I will never forget. 1. My Grandfather passed away with cancer when I was little and we got all of his things which included a sword and a dagger. We hung them on the wall with all his paintings etc. But every time a friend came over the dagger would fly off the wall and land in between the persons toes. Nobody ever got injured by it but we had to take them off the wall just to be on the safe side. I know for a fact it wouldn't be my Grandfather doing that, it has to be something else. 2. I was in the living room with my fiance watching TV, and I got up and asked him if he wanted anything. When I opened the door, a tall, black, evil-looking figure was stood right in front of me pushing his face into mine. As soon as I screamed he vanished. It was around Christmas time while this was happening. I went in my bedroom where I had Santas hanging from the roof. I sat on my bed and started to calm down and then I had a horrible feeling that I was being spied on. Then my whole room started shaking. It felt like an earthquake. The door on my bedside table was opening and shutting and the Santas on the roof were swinging violently. I had a loud moan and everything stopped. I ran to my parents to ask them if they felt the earthquake. They didn't. It was only in my room. This settled down for a while after that. It was just back to the usual groans, bangs, whispers, etc. But the confusing thing is this. As you know I'm Christian, and I always wear my cross. I always see angels and family members and pets I have lost. But when I see them its a warm, happy feeling I get. With him its a cold, evil feeling. I don't know what to do. I've told him I know he's there and that he has to go, I wear my cross all the time and pray every night. There's a cross in every room, too, but it STILL happens. My dad doesn't believe me either so I can't get any investigators to come or get the house cleansed without his permission. |

I just want to start off by saying that I have been experiencing paranormal activities since I was a very young girl but even until now I still sense them almost on a daily basis. I hardly see a full figure ghost but I can sense them very easily. I normally see things move around on their own, sometimes I see black shadows/figures, except for this one ghost girl. My first encounter with her was when I was about 14 years old. It was in the middle of the night and I was deeply asleep until I experienced a sleep paralysis episode. I woke up in a panic and that's where I first saw her. I was lying down on my back while she sat on top of me. Her dark brown hair covered her face and her white dress covered her all the way up to her neck. I tried to scream and mentally I was trying to tell her to get off me but she didn't even flinch. She sat there while my breathing was getting heavier. My mind started to panic and without hesitation, I started to pray. I closed my eyes tightly and I prayed as hard as I could and when I opened my eyes, she was gone. I sat up without realizing that I was able to move again and I looked around my empty, dark bedroom with fear. A few years passed and I hadn't seen her even with my on and off sleep paralysis, which to my relief I just shrugged it off and pretended that it never happened. But I was wrong. My second encounter was in my bedroom again. I woke up and I was having another sleep paralysis episode. My lights were off, my TV was on and my door was shut closed. My parents have a habit of checking up on me in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, this time was a really bad time. My dad opened my door and left the door a little open after he checked up on me. When I'm having my sleep paralysis episode, I am able to see whatever is going on around me but I just can't move or make any noises. After a while, I felt a rush that came through to me. I wondered what's going on and to my surprise, I saw the same brunette girl in white sitting of the edge of my bed in front of the television. I knew she's bad news I had to get away from this. I quickly felt a weird sensation on my calves, almost felt like someone was scratching me but it wasn't painful at all. I started to talk to her mentally, I begged her to stop and let me go but once again she didn't move at all and just sat there. I suddenly felt an excruciating pain on the middle of my forehead, it literally felt like a thumb or a finger is pressing on my forehead as hard as they can. I started to panic, and then I realized why I was feeling the pain, the girl was looking at me. I freaked out when I saw her face. She might not even be a girl because she looked like a man. When she would turn around, her hair changed to a bleachy blonde, then she has facial hair like someone hasn't shave for days, and her eyes are blue but they look very strange like they're popping out of her socket. She turned around towards the TV again and the pain of my forehead disappears. Then she would look at me again and I would feel the pressure again. This happens about three or four times until I finally had enough. I started to talk to her again but I was angry as I could ever be. I was physically and mentally exhausted by the torments that she's giving me so I started swearing at her and called her bad names. And the last thing that I told her is, if she ever comes to my dream again... I will kill her. She vanished and I was able to move again. I would say that she never hurt me anymore but I could tell she's still around. She followed me to my boyfriend's house and I was awakened by her presence. She was floating at the end of the bed just watching me sleep. But for some reason, I didn't feel threatened. I looked at her and went back to sleep. It has been 8 years now and I never saw her or sense her ever since. Throughout the years, I experienced a few paranormal activities but no one really ever "stuck" with me nor tries to hurt me like she did. I feel that she's not a bad ghost and she tried to show me something but went horribly wrong. I'm just wondering if anyone had any similar encounters and did it ever come back even after so many years or could she still be around me without me knowing? |

Alright so I vividly remember when I was about 10-12 years old, paranormal activity happening to me right before I would go to sleep at night. This did not happen just once but at least 3 or 4 times that I can remember between these ages. It would all start out right after I had finished reading and had turned off my lamp on my end table. My family is very Christian and my Dad had me read the Bible before bed every night. Anyway, I remember just getting to rest my head on my pillow when I would feel something like a fist push up on the mattress beneath me. I was not sleeping and I was not just imagining it. I would physically sit up, turn my lamp on, and watch my bed move up and down on that spot. Like I said before, this did not happen to me just once but several times when I was young. My parents lived on the opposite side of the house and their was no one that could easily fit under my bed. I was always too scared to try and jump off and run or even just to look underneath and see what it was for fear that it would "Get me." After about 1 minute of it starting it would stop and not come back for at least a few nights. I never did tell my parents about it even though it would keep me up late some nights sleep deprived. I think it's just because it would happen so fast and when I woke up in the morning I wouldn't be thinking about until it was the next night already. The years following this, I think I still have an irrational fear to sit on my bed with my feet on the ground and feel really uncomfortable when I do. I also still have not been able to explain why this happened to me during that age, but I definitely remember every bit of it truly happening. |
