SMOKED OUT
BAMN! Another sound came from the neighbourhood. This time it was louder than before. I came out of my house and saw people running. Sure it was a bomb blast. I went to the spot and saw that no one was hurt. Smoke was spread all around the buildings. It was pretty astonishing. The Mayor told me that it was just smoke bombs. I told the police to enquire if any theft happened here today. I went back to my house. The Officer came and told that no theft had happened. It was pretty strange. Someone blasted smoke bombs for no reason. Well there had to be a reason. The main reason for using smoke bombs are theft or running away from the police. But in this case neither had happened. It looked to me as if he was dumb, But dumb people always astonished me. He could have been caught by the police, taking a risk like this for no reason can’t be possible.
The next day I went to the police headquarters. They told me that no one was hurt so they dropped the case. I told them to reconsider it and start finding the bomber, But they said that they had more cases to consider at the moment. I went back and decided to solve it myself. As I was coming back I witnessed another smoke bomb blast. I went there to see if everything was all right, and saw that no one was hurt. The Mayor told me that again a smoke bomb blast happened. I told him that I have taken the case in my hands and was trying to solve it.
Tomorrow, I went to the garden to think about the case as my mind wasn’t able to work at home. BAMN! The sound came again. This sound had irritated me now. I ran to the spot and saw a man in black coat running away with something in his hands. I ran after him, and then stopped. I had no proof that he was the culprit. I needed to find some evidence against him. But I didn’t know where to find him. I dint even know that was he even going to bomb again or if he was going to bomb then where? I went back home to think about it further.
He was bombing places every day. He doesn’t even steal anything and till now no one was hurt. Why was he doing this? There has to be something that I am missing. There has to be something common that I am not able to figure out but what is it?
Wait a minute!!
All the places where the bomb blasted the Mayor was there. He was definitely trying to kill the Mayor. But how could smoke blast kill someone? I need to find out why he was doing it.
Tomorrow I went to the Mayor and told him about my findings. He laughed at me and said that the bomber was really dumb if he was trying to kill him with a smoke blast. I decided to secretly follow the Mayor wherever he went.
I started following him and then I again heard the infamous sound. BAMN! Another smoke bomb was blasted. As soon as I went toward the Mayor, I saw that man trying to throw the smoke bomb right on the Mayor’s face. I ran and stopped him. As the smoke cleared I chained him and asked him why he was doing this.
He said that 2 years ago there was a revolt going on for Democracy. His daughter was also a part of it. The Mayor ordered to throw smoke bombs to get the people away. One of the smoke bombs hit his daughter’s face and she died of suffocation. Now he was taking revenge.
I understood his intention but nothing could be done about this. He was soon jailed. Before going to jail he gave me an envelope. He told that there was something he wanted to tell me and I could do something about it. I opened the envelope and there was a small page in it. It was written……………………………
